run-in with Nissan GTR
I just had a nice little 45-120mph race with a red nissan gtr. I beat him by barely a 1/4 of a car length. I had a full tank of gas, 91 degree outside temp. I have a 172mm pulley, tune, johnson pump and custom secondary IC radiator.
It was super close and I'm sure he'd kill me off the line with his AWD but today....I WIN!!

Off the line, they're hard to beat, but from a roll or at normal everyday cruising speeds, you can give them a run for their money!
I had a nice run with one not too long ago, and although I was able to lead, he was tailing me pretty close.
I'm running a 180mm pulley, 82mm TB, ECU tune, K&N filters, and have done away with the exhaust resonators. I've never dyno'ed my car, but I think it's safe to say I'm packing north of 550 ponies at the motor.

Stock GT-R's run out of steam after 100+ mph due to gearing and power robbing AWD. A few simple mods and you have a low low 11 second car trapping high 120's and its pretty hard to catch up.
Nice run!!

He did have tinted windows, I wonder if it was the tanning guy. I didn't notice if he had NY or NJ tags.
It's funny I ran into a white GTR on the exact same stretch of highway a few weeks ago but it was too crowded and I couldn't get right behind him. I guess they are not as rare as I thought.

I'll probably start running my 19's again (once I have them straightened for the 3rd time!) But I must admit the 18" I have on now with the higher profile tires give a noticeably nicer ride. I put 20mm wheel spacers in the rear and 15mm in the front and also lowered the car about 1/2 an inch using the "washer method" so even with the boring wheels the car looks pretty aggresive in real life.

10.5, that's crazy fast. I'd be happy if I could break into the high 11's. One of these days I'll get her to the track and onto a dyno.
