Any of you guys running with Vredestein Tires for your CLS55?
I've been looking to a set of these for my CLS55 but wanted feedback from owners of this tire. I'm in need of new tires for my stock wheels and need some input. Thanks in advance!

I had them on my srt-8. The V's have great grip on dry pavement but when it rains they are sub-par. The tread is soft and I only got about 7,000 miles out of the set (moderate to agressive driving). They look great and worked fine for me since the car was not a daily driver. However, if I had to do it over again, I'd have gone a different direction.

Addition...great tires for the price too. I had low profile 20s on my CLS and the ride is good. They are German build I believe.

Thanks guys. Everyone always tries to sway me to the Michelin's but they just seem so noisy to me. Maybe it's just me. What are other great options for the replacing my stock tires?

Is the widest they make for a 19" (that will fit the stock rear wheels) really only 275?

Additional comment I forgot to add. I noticed it took about 10 to 15 minutes for the tires to warm up and during that time my steering wheel would vibrate. This would only happen if the car sat for several days or the temp. was cool 50-55 degrees or colder.

My gripe with Vred's is that they really don't hold up well if you plan on driving fast or aggressively, which is pretty lame considering they're portrayed as a "performance" tires...
As mentioned by another forum member, it's not uncommon to see Vred's near zero tread condition in as little as 6K to 8K miles.
As odd as this may seem, and from what I've seen and experienced first hand, they don't seem to run true to size. It's almost as if they're smaller then what they're advertised as. In other words (as an example) if you had a 295/30 Vred tire and a 295/30 tire from lets say Michelin (on the same size rim) the Mich tire would sit fuller and wider then the Vred. Just something I've noticed...
Also mentioned is that they're not that good in the rain, and don't even think about using them in snow!
BUT, if you're looking for a nice looking, fairly quite, and relatively inexpensive tire to just beat on, then the Vred's are a killer choice!

I run 20's as well, 245 in the front and 295 in the rear. I had PS 2 originally and these tires were very good in compromising handling and comfort. Late this spring I purchase 4 new Hankook Ventus V12, which in a way disappointed me. I could not get them to be balanced right, every time the tires were cold steering wheel and a dashboard would shake and vibrate horribly. I was also getting vibration at all times between 55 and 70. I had them balanced 5 times by 2 different shops. The issue persisted so finally I decided to get different tires. 3 weeks ago I purchased set of Continentals Extreme Contact DW. So far I've put around 1000 miles on them and I can't find anything wrong with them. The comfort is much better and the vibration has been eliminated by 75% when they are cold and by at least 95% when warm compared to Hankook Ventus. I like Hankooks Ventus V12 and I run them on my other cars with smaller wheels without any complaints, it seems however like in 20” size this tire doesn’t give as much comfort when compared to Continentals or PS 2.

I found this review really useful. Check it out Read this!

I got a set of the hankooks V12 and am very, very happy. They are super quiet in the 19" size. Hit a serious pothole with them that would of killed the tires on my other vehicle. Still no problems here who would have thought. Highly recommended.

Went on a aggresive drive this weekend and now i don't like my Vred's... cant wait to go back to PS2's... wouldn't recommend for performance driving, as they feel too soft and have severe understeer when pushed into the corners,
