You have a bad IC Pump. Your trap speed is waaaaay too low and your times are to high. 95 mph??? Get a Johnson CM30. I will guarantee you that you will hit 12's/110's mph no matter how you butcher your launch. Search for either bad IC Pump or Johnson CM30...

PM me if you want any more info. I had that same issue on my E55.

This will fix the problem for sure! Hell you will actually gain a little with those cooling mods. You are definitely on the right track bro!

You have more tire choices on a 17" rim.

You can use 18" no problem as more companies are making drag radials in 18".

I used a 17" oem rim from a C class 17x8 rear and mounted a 26x11.5 inch MT ET street tire. That set up was amazing, is amazing . Still holds the best 60 ft time ever recorded in a Mercedes.

I had to bore out the bolt holes 1mm, everything else was perfect, stance, height etc.

The car is heavy , your CLS is heavier than other cls models due to brakes, rotors. Remove your trunk items. Also try significant cooling between runs, although 70 degrees is great that SC heats up like nobody's business, keep it cool. As you inccrease HP make certain you also increase coooling with an IC res.

Thanks for the wheel tire info juicee63

Is it better to run drag radials or slicks on these cars , since I will have 2 sets of wheels , Also what is the best way to run a IC reservoir ,, what parts for reservoir , I seen on forum people using Saab & BMW reservoirs mounted near engine like the Evosport system ,, , Your opinion ,,, Badm

After many runs I would suggest a dedicated wheel package using bias ply tires.

A true skinny front with a true slick would give you a HUGE advantage.

CCW can make the rims, and you can mount true slicks.

Drag radials IMO are not much better than soft summer sport tires. If you are gonna do two sets definately dedicate one just for the track you can likely use them for years.

As far as cooling , upgrade the inter cooler and get an IC res in the trunk , I suggest asking the members of the E55 forum or do a search in that forum.

Those skinny fronts are 13 lbs and the rears 16 vs 55lb and 65 lbs you likely have now. Saving rotational weight is as good as it gets for hp preservation
