SWEET!!! As soon I as I get it guys I WILL post up pics..and anything we would need to be concerned over. I'm not concerned to much about the glue or adhesives. I just want to make sure that it doesn't come off and that everyone is happy as I know Mark has these concerns too.
Can't wait to get it!!

I don't claim to be an expert on the holding properties of glue, but if you use the right adhesive for a diffuser on the back of the vehicle I don't imagine you'll have any trouble. Every rear carbon fiber diffuser I've seen for the CLS is meant to be glued on. There is quite a bit of surface area to get a great bond. I've had one on my car for a year (not the same as this one- admittedly) and my fear is not "will it come off," but rather "how am I ever going to get it off if I change my taste and want something different!"
My vote is- it'll be just fine.

Sorry for not getting this up last night.
Anyway, I got it taped on. For a test fit ..not too bad at all. Like I told Mark, I know every car will be different. So, guys you MIGHT have to some very minor trimming to the OEM plastic trim to get diffuser to fit around..2seconds with a dremal or a razor blade.
I told Mark that the angle of the fins would need to be closed so the bottom is level to the ground. They do look like they will just hang under the car. Other than that. I do like the way it wraps around the car. For those having an issue glueing, expoxy, adhesive...whatever... to the OEM plastic. I can you that it will not be an issue. Once it was taped, the fins where very stiff and if you want you CAN and have room to install small screws to the muffler side to help hold it on...If you want to. Mark has my comments last night.
Just mounting it at the office. I will be one to have to trim some of my OEM molding. Not a big deal..

under the car..you can see where you can add some additional screws. Also, you can also see where I wanted the fin angle to close down.

last picture shows what I mean by the fin angle. Now, I do only have one piece of tape holding so the angle WILL go up more but I think it still needs to be closed by 10 degrees. For those with eagle eyes, the ends will snap around the OEM trim. there is just one piece of tape holding it.

Like I said I like it. he will need to make the slight fin angle adjustment and we should be golden. Thanks for all you guys patience.

Fine, but why doesn't it wrap under the car...there should be a sheet under there, which the fins fit onto (think an L shape) and fins go on that shape.
Not a fan of this one
. I like this style but it needs a better fit

LOL
I shouldn't have ever done that photoshopped pic on my car ...

unfortunately, ACTUAL diffusers offered are lacking not only a correct FIT
(like in the linked ebay case) but much more a proper DESIGN & STYLING when it comes to those many, apparently second order details who make the BIG final difference ..
still waiting to see one "acceptable"

it's not bad but it also keeps looking like something "sticked on" ..
and that's obvious: if you stick something upon something else you'll keep getting that look.
I understand that needs courage to cut the stock duffuser and fit something INSTEAD..
like i told some time ago, they all look to me like "baby-Pampers" (diapers)..LOL
