CLS55 and SL55 motor
Why does the CLS55 have less power than the SL55? They both have the same exactly engine right? The SL55 makes 510hp versus the CLS 469hp. Is it because the SL55 has a more aggressive tune than the CLS55 on the ECU? If that's the case, can we swap the CLS55 ECU for the SL55 ECU to get 510hp? or is there a tuning company that can flash the CLS55 ECU with the SL55 tune?

I believe it is more than just a remap of the ECU. Rentech and other Tuners have different tunes for each of the cars. Never seen the CLS have more HP after both cars have been remapped. For some reason the SL has more HP than the CLS. I believe that the engines have different cams so that the value durations/timings are more aggresive in the SL and have more HP.
Just my $.02.

They are the same engine. In fact, I happen to have an SL55 and my brother has a CLS55. On the dyno, same day, we make just about the same power. In fact his makes like 5whp more. Stock vs Stock. the CLS makes power in the range of 500-510hp at the crank. They may have said the CLS55 has 469hp but its more like 500 or so.
I think its safe to say for CLS55 owners you got more power than you though you were getting.
