Touch Screen - Head Unit Upgrade
A few quirks, but so many features that it's well worth the price. Hoping the Mercedes version works as well.

Greetings,
I have a 2006 CLS 55 AMG with a Harmon Kardon 7 channel system. I like the features that the DVN MBE MOST replacement head unit. I see the unit is compatible with MOST. However, is this unit plug and play for the 7 channel system or does it eliminate the center channel and sub woofer? Or is there an adaption to maintain the 7 channel funtionality?

I think we'll get better answers there if so.
So, 650 EUR.
What does that translate in US dollars at the current rates?

Also, it appears as though it doesn't support SiriusXM satellite radio unless I stream it from my iPhone.

So now, we're getting somewhere.
Who here is in Fresno?
Their address is:
2385 South Sarah Street
Fresno, CA 93706-4524
(559) 486-4041
It would be nice if someone could check this thing out since there is no mention whether or not the unit supports HK7Logic and whether or not it's plug 'n' play.
It does indicate that this unit is for Dynavin Mercedes Nav System, 2002-2008 E class, 2004-2011 CLS.
It seems you can order direct from them.
The unit is $799.00.
I think we could generate enough buyers between us and the E class owners to bring the cost down.
Also, it appears as though I can't use my SiriusXM satellite radio unless I stream it from my iPhone.
Damn, that's a long time.

I hope the same is true (or quicker!) for the MBZ model because it also has the NAV function.
There are actually two separate computers in the unit. One does the Navigation functions, and the other does everything else.
For the most part, the integration is seamless between the two 'sides' and you really will not notice. But there are a couple of quirks. One for example is how you can set the clock format on the NAVI side (i.e. set for 12h or 24 hr mode), but the same adjustment is not available on the radio side. So when in NAVI screen, the time will show as 5:30 pm, but when you move to the RADIO screen, the time shows as 17:30...
Again, all of my comments are based on the e46 version of the unit.

I'm surprised the guys from Dynavin haven't replied in this thread yet. With the amount of interest, I'd think they'd by active on the forum.
There's still quite a few unresolved questions with the plug and play compatibility with the CLS63....
Seriously?
