Touch Screen - Head Unit Upgrade

I was trolling through the E55 section and a member posted this touch screen head unit that looks OEM. I'm going to get some additional info on this to see what the details are but thought some of you might be interested.

So i talked to the guy from the BMW forums and the piece is about $700. Way cheap in comparison to a OEM video Comand swap. Unfortunately the guy only does BMW units at this time. He did send me a link to a write up he did and mentioned that he would help us if there is an actual interest for these units.

It has SD card / USB capability so the software is easy to hack and the NAV has a lot of different skins that are available online. I imagine it would be very easy to make the necessary changes to watch video in motion.
I'm assuming that we'd lose the following:
1) parking sensor audio (I use mine daily for parking in my tight garage space)
2) service updates
3) 6 disc changer (prolly won't need it at all with this HU)

been asking 6 months ago to make it MOST compatible ...
till they don't do a really integrated Comand it remains a fake

while I really dont know anything about this product, some questions are... does it have logic7, do you loose access to the CD Changer, communications with the canbus on the instrument panel and steering wheel, do these still work? those would be my concerns.
If you loose all that, might as well get a custom installed unit that is reputable.

I shot Dynavin an email last week and guess what? The DVN MBE MOST is coming out in two weeks. I'm waiting on additional details but I just got an email from Jurgen Haas at Dynavin and wanted to let you guys know.

The Dynavin one has been out for awhile now too but the one coming out in two weeks is digital MOST connection making it a true plug and play. Not sure how the Ebay one connects.

already been asking a couple of weeks ago about that and, while at first they replied yes, after asking for more details they confirmed NO MOST ...
.. also, hope Dinavin will fit a GUI-graphical interface at MB-class level !

ok the new version that work with harman kardon system will be ready in 10days price at $700 euro = $ 996 USD plus import fee and postage. I currently have the euro nav in my car with video in motion i will be selling if anyone interested (dynavin wont swap he said that they are flood with that euro nav)

The last I heard from the DYnavin dealer in LA says they are developing the fiber optic connector for the HK prologic 7 system and it will be ready in about 2 month.

a car that gets very poor gas mileage.

This unit will breathe new life into my CLS.
