POLL: S/C Oil Change
Has anyone changed their supercharger oil? If so could you please answer a few questions..
1) Do it yourself or local dealer?
2) How often
3) I think you need to use Mobile Jet Fuel II
I'm at about 65k and going to change out my two belts when they get in, but I was curious about the s/c oil. I haven't had any weird sounds or issues yet.
Thanks! AJ

i have drained and refilled mine. dont try to attempt this project while the s/c is on the car becasue it is a ***** to thread the drain plug back in. level the s/c and keep on adding oil unitl it overflows from the drain hole.

Smells like death. I spilled some dirty SC oil in my van and I can still smell it after a good cleaning.

Here is what I have guys. We were working really fast and the photos are not that great
MBworld member money-one came over to assist. He supplied this great tool. It as a rounded tip which is great for turning the plug at an angle. Snap on tool, size 5.
We used the tool to remove the plug. There was no fluid in mine because we recently took it apart for polishing. Otherwise, the old oil needs to be sucked out. ( Syringe and fish tank tubing could be used). Since I was able to skip straight to adding oil, I used fish tank tubing to add the oil.
We held up the empty bottle to a light and noticed that Mercedes is a little sneaky
The original label on the bottle said "Eaton Supercharger Oil", and Mercedes stuck their own label on top of the eaton label. Lol!!!
So, I jumped on the eaton site and found some info. We can actually go to any GM or Ford Service dept to buy this product. I've attached a link and a photo of that info as well. Hope this helps, and I think it's easier to change this oil if the supercharger is off the car.
This is where the plug is located:
Here is the plug after removal. Recommend wrapping a little white teflon seal before replacing, and don't seal it too tight when shutting it.
The snout on the OEM/Eaton bottle came in handy.

Hope this was helpful guys

By the way, this was my reason for changing my supercharger oil in the first place. I took my supercharger apart and had it polished:
