What do you think?

I found this ad for a 2008 CLS63.

http://www.offleaseonly.com/used-cars.htm (you will need to search inventory)

Would you buy this car?

Any advice would be great!

Great looking AMG with super low mileage. Let's hope the original owner is on the forum so he/she can give you first hand feedback
Good luck.

Don't bother if it was involved in an accident. Plenty of clean cars for $45K-$50K.

Just a few words regarding "accident reports" on car fax...

In all honesty, just because it says accident, that doesn't necessarily mean the car was involved in anything serious. Case in point...

My sisters 3 series was hit in a parking lot by someone in an SUV backing up. The ONLY damage was to her rear right tail light. It in all respect it was the perfect accident, in that there was NO body damage! The height and angle of the SUV all played into it being a very clean and easy to fix repair. A police report was taken, and the SUV owners insurance covered the tab to replace the entire tail light.

When it came to sell the car a few years later, BAM!!!!!!! Car fax had it listed as being in an ACCIDENT!!!! It was a MAJOR drawback in trying to sell the car!!!!

Ultimately, we ended up making copies of the police report, the insurance claim and the work order to replace the tail light so when we people came to look at the car and asked about the accident, we could show them valid proof that it was something VERY simple.

When they heard it was JUST a tail light, they all were shocked that car fax would list the car as being in an accident. They never imagined replacing a tail light would constitute an accident rating on car fax.

So with that said, if you run into a car that has an accident report on car fax, ASK QUESTIONS!!!! Find out what happen, get documents, and validate everything! If they don't know, or can't answer, then move on, but don't be discouraged simply because it says the car was in an accident.
