Well its almost been a year since I was rear ended and my CLS55 was totaled and I was wondering what has gone on with the car, if someone rebuilt or what....

So, can someone run the VIN for me on carfax or whatever and see if any entries come back on it...

From the photo alone it doesn't scream totaled imo...what was the repair estimate? Only curious. Also did your insurance pay out a reasonable totaled value? Sorry to see that happen to such a special car.

 

repair estimates were over 60k front end damage also...

they paid me out almost 60 as well

 

$60k in repairs for front and rear end collision damage...that's nuts.

 

yup...crazy but it pretty much needed all new body panels except for the 4 doors.

All the fenders, hood, bumpers, lights, some engine internals as the radiators was pushed up into the supercharger, electrical was also fried.

I was hit by a 1993 Full Size Ford Econoline van while stopped at a red light...she said she was going about 50 and only left like 50ft of skid marks.

Just lucky to make it out with little injury

Looks like a North Hollywood Dealer got hold of it. Not sure why it states 2/24/2011 "No recalls open for repair".. but it seems your car hasnt been re-registered and is Teh Deaded or for parts on ebay.

 

it says that for every car on the day you run carfax at the end, unless there is a recall on the car!

 

i could of sworn i saw this car in the insurance auction.. def not in copart... do you have any more pics?

 

Thanks for looking it up for me. When I gave the car back to insurance the maya wheels were taken off and it had stock wheels powdercoated black.

 

yeah its definitely repairable as long the chassis wasn't damaged. You can check out http://www.coparts.com..prob biggest salvage auto reseller..I don't see CLS55/63 AMG in the list of options tho..they need to fix that

 

I'm in the process of buying a 2008 CLS63. One problem! The Car Fax indicates an accident. Can someone check this VIN WDDDJ77X88A121171? I'm trying to find out what type of accident it was in.
