New wheels and tires with TPSM the light is still on (question)

I just installed different wheels and tires with the TPMs all ready installed in the new set. The light is still on after a few days.

Will it reset or do I need to install the original sensors for it to read properly?

I'm certainly not an expert, but I recently went through the same thing. The sensors on my newly installed rims were "dormant". Discount tire has a hand held device that can "activate" the sensors. Another problem could be that 1 or more of your sensors are bad. There could be more explanations, but these are the two I know about first hand. Good luck.

Thanks Gentlemen,

I purchased the OEM wheels and tires from Fee bay. The wheel and tires are take offs on a 08 CLS 63 with the O30 package like mine with about 1 k miles on them.

I am willing to bet they TPM are dormant; I will call my tire shop to ask them if they can reset them.

Now I need to sell my HREs I bought as replacements.
