TELE AID Malfunction (D612, D632)

I'm getting the dreaded Tele Aid Malfunction.

A scanner (printout from the shop) shows the following codes:

D001 - Watchdog Error: the unit has been reset due to an internal error.

D612 - Component GPS antenna or the lead has short circuit.

D614 - An incompatibility between GPS position and the position determined through the wheel sensors has occurred.

D631 - Component CTEL antenna or the lead has short circuit.

D632 - Component TELE AID spare antenna is faulty or the lead has open circuit

D670 - No connection to component Handsfree system microphone.

D690 - CAN signal Vehicle speed faulty (RIZ).

They reset all but D612 and D632; these two will not clear. I'm trying to narrow down where this problem may be occurring.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thank You!

More crazy codes and such with the CLS55...

Well, only hours after picking it up she's doing more crazy stuff.

I went out fired it up this morning and it looks like the car has deflated or let down the front left corner. It’s not making any noise at all but threw a red screen, “Stop, car too low.”

I pulled it out into the driveway and took some pictures (attached).

Also, before I pulled it back into the garage it threw a different screen, “Check tires then reactivate.”

It just looks like there’s a crazy issue affecting everything, now. I don’t know if it’s a dislodged connector or fuse, somewhere, broken ground, or what?

Hey M_Berman,
I appreciate the thought and it looks like a cool application; but it's only for navigation and directions. What I really need is something that shows codes or better yet a good dealership in the Tampa area.
Thanks for the app; I'll keep it in mind for later.
Take Care!

Was unaware that your baby is haunted with codes. Thought it was just TeleAid.
Sounds like an investement in the Dealer's 401 K plan is needed.
Good luck with it--it is a beauty.

Thanks, M; but I have to tell you I'm just about to throw in the MB towell and go to another brand. I just can't see $5,000 in repairs every year for a car I baby and take such good care of.

Really sorry to hear your disappointment. Just before mine went out of warranty I purchased an extended warranty from Fidelity thru a local MB dearler here in So Cal. I'm covered for additional 70k miles and until 2015.

Maybe it is not too late to get wise and get an extended warranty.
