Question AMG CLS55 Performance Package

I hope someone can help me out here.

I can see that the CLS63 AMG with the performance package has a stiffer suspension setup, but is the same true for the CLS55 AMG with performance package?
And if it true that it has indeed a stiffer setup, does anybody knows exactly what changes have been made to give the stiffer suspension?

My girlfriend and I was test driving a CLS55 AMG with performance package and it was really a great car. BUT I have a 20 year old Porsche 911 which have a stiff RS suspension and my girlfriend cannot drive it due to an operation in her back.
The CLS55 AMG we tried was a bit to harsh for her, so now my only chance of getting an CLS AMG is if the performance package added to the stiff ride.

I know that AMG is a performance car, but I was hoping that comfort mode and maybe 18" wheels could make the car as comfortable as my old BMW 530 from 1998

Thanks,
Michael

Haters crazy
My brother has a cls55, I have the e55... in comparison, yes cls does look better, but as far as comfort goes, e55 feels a bit more soft/comfy and less stiff as the cls55 does. Maybe give the e55 a shot if you arent stuck on the cls55...

As tbal said, the E55 is much more comfortable...

I understand you want a CLS but if it's too stiff then it's better you don't purchase it for the sake of your girlfriend.

There are a couple of comfortable AMG's -

E55 AMG
S55/63/65 AMG
C55...

But if you wanted the S class, they are extremely expensive coming towards 100K... Your best shot is the E55... Trust me, you do get the same amount of fun!

I have a CLS 55 with sport package and the ride doesn't really change much from comfort to sport 2. The 55 P030 package also included revised suspension dampening for in the 63. The biggest difference in ride for me is when I switch back to winter tires from my summer 20" RTs. Not really sure what else you need to make a decision. If you test drove it and found it too harsh, I'd say your stuffed....else the GF takes a cab to where your going..
