How Much Do You Pay For Insurance?
Hey guys, hopefully we can make this a sticky and help each other out with choosing the right insurance. Obviously we want FULL COVERAGE. So please post how much you pay for insurance every 6 MONTHS. Also how many driving points do you have on your record according to dmv? And WHO IS your insurance company? Reason for this post is because i think im getting RAPED by my insurance company. Ill start first.....
I Pay $2500 for 6 MONTHS ($417 mo)

Driving Record: 2 pts (a DUI)

I started a thread like this in the E55 W211 section, and it turned out to be very helpful. Alot of us we are to shop around as a result and drop our rates.

Mine is $70/month for full coverage and $500 deductible through State Farm for my '07 CLS63. We have 4 vehicles insured through them as well as our homeowners, wife's ring, etc... So we're probably getting a volume discount of some sort.
Clean record....somehow.

i just turned 21 years old, ive had my car since 07. Full Coverage, no accidents and a couple speeding tickets(currently 4pts on my license). Geico has my paying $6000 per year ($500per month). According to Geico its because i was 17 with a V8 2door. They thoroughly enjoy raping me.

Quite an interesting thread, but without a LOT of details, it's kind of useless.
For this to be helpful, you would need the following information:
Age of primary driver
Residence Location
Driving Record
Any driving age kids in the household and marital status
Year and options on the car (a 2012 CLS AMG can cost $90k - $130k)
Other cars on the policy
Multi-line discount (home, liability, etc all with same carrier)
length of time with the insurance company
miles driven per year
exact coverages - collision and comprehensive deductibles, liability limits per person and per accident, amount of coverage for property damage, uninsured motorist, and medical payments.
After you have all that, THEN you can compare rates, but only if your situation is comparable.
I can tell you that I have my cars (3), home and liability with State Farm, and I have been with them for about 10 years. I'm 51, married and have two driving age kids - one at home and one away at college. My record is spotless. My sticker price was $124k and I have a $250 deductible for comprehensive and $1000 for collision. I drive about 10,000 miles per year, and I cover my a$$ with very complete coverage. I'm paying about $700 the first six months on a brand new car.
I hope this helps. Happy driving!!

SLR… Was thinking about getting one until yesterdays quote … $4177 every 6 months!
The new CLS 63 TT is really looking good! $360 every 6 months.
I realize you have to pay to play, but seriously 11X as much. Thats just crazy
