a car that gets very poor gas mileage.
I've used the Hankook Ventus V12 EVO before. 255/30 20 and 305/25 20
I think it's the best value-for-performance tire that I've ever had.

It's been getting a lot of positive reviews from tire critics. Check them out.

Co-Sign this message. By far our best seller and second to none in value for performance.

These are the sizes I need for my HRE's--- I need a rounder sidewall tire to tuck them in since Ill be lowered on the CLS... good tires as you say? I think ill be ordering them--- the price scares me though- they are almost too cheap.

I have the Hankook Ventus V12 evo and while they are a great value, they are not that sticky, and they are soft so don't expect a lot of miles especially if you are lowered. But still a good value for a daily driver tire, also has a nice clean look to the sidewall and tread design.

What about the Michelin Pilot Sport? Anybody have an opinion about these in contrast to the PZero or Hankook? I just purchased my car and in my search noticed many CLS had their wheels wrapped with the Michelins. The car I bought came with a new set of the PZeros'.

In another thread I mentioned and just in general PS2's or PSS's are hands down the first choice in my book--- they just are a very very "tall" tire and my aggressive set up may not be condusive to their fitment.

Here's a look at the 305/25 20:

Profile on these tires are great for lowered cars. The wall is pretty short.

And another:

The shoulders were as round as they come for this dimension tire and wheel.
This was mounted to a 20x11 HRE wheel...the entire set of wheels are for sale by the way.

I can post pics if anyone's interested.

Have had Goodyear Eagle assymetrics and Michelin Pilot 2 and currently have Pilot super sport on my BMW. All three were on a 335i Coupe with some upgrades. The Eagles were a great tire if you want performance in wet and dry. They are outstanding in the rain and they are very good in the dry so they have a good balance. The michelins are a bit noisier and more dry weather but damn are they good in the dry. The Super sports I have only had a few months and they wear a little quicker in the Arizona heat but they are sticky. Never feel like i am losing grip with them. Again this is with them on a BMW 335i coupe so it may or may not be helpful with your situation but I thought I would throw it out there in case.

I hated hancook they wear bad. Grip not so good . Tracksion in rain horrific snow same .side wall not tall and be prepared to crack rims lots of rims. Toyo prox best grip dry but hard ride and rim break cause of side wall . Conti extreme dw best I've had all around thicker sidewall so less rim break or bend. 310 rear 285 dollars front . Hancook garBage and dangerous in wet condition

+ that. I worked for Michelin for almost 10 years and was skeptical but the ride, wear and traction on these for the price cant be beat. I have the same size on 20 hre's and they have been nothing but good.
