Purchase problem - need advice

I flew into Texas this morning to inspect,pick up, and drive back the CLS63, I had a deposit on. I get here and there is a problem with the air suspension. They say it's because the vehicle was sitting and is a common problem when the car isn't driven for a period of time. My question is, is that really a common problem? In addition the front bumper is now scraped to hell underneath from them driving it up and down their ramp into their warehouse with the suspension down. They are also telling me there is a second battery for the air suspension? Never heard that before either.

Frustrated,
<V>

It's great that you had to fly to Texas to find this out. My buddy just bought a s550 with a similar issue, to the tune of several thousand dollars in repairs. I don't think it is that common. No warranty left on the CLS?

if there is a message on the dash with a pic of car and arrow pointing down, its the airmatic suspension system. To replace a shock, you are looking at $1200 per side. Alot of us go w/the arnott rebuilt shock for $500 each. But this is only for the fronts, no replacement for rears thru arnott.

Walk away unless they replace /figure out whats wrong.

12 CLS63, 12 GLK350, 08 RR SPORT SC,
I have heard that the old cls cars did this. But I would just walk away. Too many headaches including that bumper
