Best Stage 1 Tune for a CLS 55
Hey guys,
I just picked up my car. For my CLK55 I had a custom tune program that worked and did a few more HP, and Torque.
Now for my CLS I am thinking there are similar stage 1 (everything else stock) options. Most of the threads I see on this forum are for tuning 63's. Has anyone had good experiences with tuning a stage 1 mofification for a 55 ?
Thoughts or comments appreciated.

I'm very happy with EC. The cool thing about their tune is that once you pay for the tune they will retune you free of charge. So if you mod the car more you can get tunes free of charge for life
. Plus they usually run tune specials, so you can get them cheaper then on their website if you keep an eye open.

I have the Renntech stage 2 package on my E55 and highly recommend their stage 1 kit if you're really looking for the 'Best Stage 1 Tune'. They claim 538/566 and I don't doubt it. If you're looking for the least expensive tune that will still improve performance, I don't know what to tell you.

I highly recommend EC. They've tuned my car 3 times now, Stag 1-3 and done a fantastic job. The fact that they'll retune your car after any additionl mods is a tremendous value.
Moreover they can do this remotely so you don't even have to leave your garage.

I think I am going to try Eurocharged - I'll see if I can negotiate a discount for doing the CLK55 and CLS55
Thanks to all for the valuable contribution. I think Saeed's point is critical on the reliability angle ! From what I can see the combination of being re-tunable in future, doing it at home/internet and being able to flash back is a winner.

08 CLK63 Black Series, 11 ZR1, 13 M6, 15 G63
My nephew runs a Eurocharged tune in his E55, he has been very happy with it and it makes noticeably more power and torque when paired with some headers. Best bang for you buck on these 55 motors in my opinion.
