renntech elm v1 to v2 installation questions

i'll be removing my v1 for a v2 with remote. does anyone know if i can just unplug the v1 and then plug in the v2 using the original harness from the v1

hope that doesn't sounds too confusing. i'm wondering if the below process will work:

1. unplugg ELM V1 module from the harness
2. plug in ELM V1 module to original V1 harness

Thanks!

I'd strongly suggest you contact Renntech directly on this question.
You don't want to get it wrong and do damage on either the ELM or the car.

I don't think you can. Some of the pins are different. I tried from V2 to V3 atleast.
