TUNE question for 6.3 N/A

I really want to get more power out of my 219 N/A.... How many of you all have tunes for these engines/how much torque +HP do you get from them?

Do you feel a major difference?

Is it worth it?

LOL, and how many rides have you kicked in the *** because of the tune?

Nothing to add, except I'm in the same boat as well. Not that I need the extra power (I stepped into this car from a Civic, lol), but more power is always better

haha, I didnt come from a fast car either, but its either me, or the car just isnt pushing what I want it to. I want MORE power. I want the "thrown back into the seat" type of power. The type of power that I have to brace my head back for.

Not saying this is slow. Its just that I want that extra "push"

Haha, no. Like, it does push me back. Ermmm, idk, I just want more, and yeah the warranty thing I understand... But, if you find a buyer that doesn't care. Then done deal. And I'm also curious because I may sell the one I have and buy a 09+ and tune that. And keep it for the long run.

And same here, I reach the end of the ramp at around 100, after that I have brake.

He has an M156 not a M157 with the PP---- different numbers and different feel.

As for your tune on a C219- I had a W212 NA 63 and the tune yielded about 30 whp and 30 wtq on a low reading dyno dynamics. You can definitely tell the gain in power, tq, and even throttle response. But you will never get the gain that the turbo engines produce with a tune. Impossible.

But to me, the NA tune is worth it too. The pricing is reasonable and I think you can do it via the 6.3 handheld device that many tuners now have (only on non turbos).

Haha, thank you for the insight on this matter, and I do understand I won't even come close to the tuning platform as the Bi-Turbos, but do you know of any REALLY good tune for the N/A? I've been searching here and there but all give the same 30 hp/TQ figures, and I want to be able to keep up with some of you guys :P haha

I've also heard about the PP package on the W212 N/A givin 560 hp... I really want to be able to get this... But I think it may be more than just a software enhancement... I really don't know. Or maybe this isn't true at all and I've been hearing a lie. I'll check in on the guys over on that forum.. See if I get answers.

But thank you for giving me a straightforward reply!

I went with OE for my NA E63 tune- In fact OE tunes all my cars past and present.

The PP on the M157TT is absolutely about boost and nothing else. If you didnt care about the other adds from the PP kit you could essentially get a non PP car, tune it, and it would equal a tuned PP car. I got the PP cars because I also wanted the suspension, carbon fiber items, and steering wheel along with the red calipers. Can you do all of this yourself? Yes but I just went for the path of least resistance. The shocks are very expensive (PP versions).

I heard the SLSBS is getting 641hp, which reportedly enables it to go from 0-60 in 3.7-3.8 sec. But of course the M159 has lots of different internals.

I agree the NA tune is definitely worth it.
