Every day of the week I take my buddy's 04 SL55 AMG both off the line and with roll-ons. He gets soooo frustrated and claims his supercharger is getting overheated. I would understand once or twice - but every time there's an excuse, haha. Other than than - just stories w/ the cobra.

Raced a G-Power SK2 supercharged e92 M3 and walked it all the way
Raced a McLaren MP4-12C and was ahead till 4th gear when it started to pass me and slowly pull 2-3 body lengths until around 260 kmh
*Both races were from a 2nd gear roll and my car has the Renntech R1 package with down pipes. From a dig or from 1st gear I have no chance against the Mac.

Cobra. From a red light I raced a friend's modded (tune, airbox, full exhaust) 11 GT-R. He (like a pansy) used his launch control. Traction is a constant problem with the cobra, no less off the line. Light turns green and he took me by about a car length. He kept that lead until about 45-50 mph. I was still trying to get my tires to catch. Finally I started getting some traction and overtook him at about 60. Once I had traction I was walking all over him. We let off at 80ish. It was a VERY good race but that awd is unbeatable off the line.

Oh - and going to a full roller cam/lifter setup and lighter cam chain in the cobra (currently at the shop). I should pick up another 80ish hp. We'll see. I'll more than likely be forced to go w/ slicks in the back.

08 cls 63 currently w/ k&n filters. His is stock w/ k&n filters. He runs into a traction issue off the line. That's where I make my money on the bottom end. Also his 5 speed gearbox doesn't keep up w/ my 7 speed. His may have a better power:weight, however, the cls emerges as the victor.

Today I had a run with a 458 Italia from a 1st gear roll. Was side by side with him all the way to 4th and then started walking him all the way to about 270kmh before having to slow down ...

I raced an Evo 9 with my gas tank showing 3~ miles from a dig and I lost......although I'm sure that Evo wasn't stock, I wanted to ask if being extremely low on gas has any effect on the race??
I guess I'm just looking for an excuse haha

The XKR is as fast as the G power M3 and can beat a tuned rs6 v10 from 60kmh roll ... but from a 1st gear roll it just cannot hook up. Definitely not in the same league as the E63 or Porsche for a drag race. It has a pulley, exhaust and ECU upgrade but because it's a Jaguar, I don't think there will be any more parts available to make it faster....

Probably around 650 hp (if the claims by the tuners are accurate). Initially i had problems hooking up with the stock Contis, but ever since i changed to Michelin PSS with 295 rears, it has been hooking up pretty well even from 1st gear rolling starts.

same here! haha, had P-zero Pirelli's before, switched over to Michelin Ps's as well. But I still spin a little even with stock Hp/Tq
