I have 61k miles and the Fidelity warranty runs out in a few months so I'm considering selling her now while still under warranty to help keep my losses to a minimum. What do you guys think?? I bought the car 12 months ago for $42k (bone stock), with 48k miles and have since invested about $8k worth of goodies and have 61k miles...

 

sell it for $48k.... wont be too much of a loss for you and theres mods to cover the price raise.

 

I have learned not to expect to recoup alot of money when trying to sell mods too.....

 

+1 - never expect to get your money back for mods. As a matter of fact, some mods can actually hurt resale value.

 

Was in the same boat as you a few months back, had a 06 CLS55. Sold it and purchased a 2012 CLS63 and have not looked back at all. If you are debating the new version, go ahead and do it. The new model is so much better imho.

 

Sorry ViperMike - Exactly my experience too. Mods can be considered just spending money. I find often times it degrades the value of a vehicle.

SO I'd be willing to hear what mods you'd like to sell here before you kick the old one to the curb for a new one!

 

I by no means think the mods have added value, just stating whats been done. lol!
