Talking RENNtech Vs. Ghost links (lowering W219)

Hello Gentleman,
I just purchased a W219 CLS63. I am looking for some feed back on people that have use either to lower their vehicle. I found this thread in the W221 sub forum

https://mbworld.org/forums/new-s-cla...-module-3.html

What are the cons of the links? They are obviously cheaper but is there really any drawback other than the manual vs. PC to lower it.

Thanks gents!

Go with a module. I have tried all three options starting with STAR which wasnt low enough for me. I then went with Ghost links which was a little bit of a hassle to install and dial in. I also did not like the fact that I could not adjust the height. I finally went with a Rentech/programa module with the remote. I absolutely love it and allows me to adjust when I want. If I want to turn it off I just press the button and I'm back to stock. I paid 800.00 for mine and it took me an hour to install myself. Hands down the best way to go.

Thanks for the reply Ontilt. I did some research on here and through google/youtube the normal channels. I think I am going to go with Renntech. Are there any issues you know about? I would like to ride lower than most but not super slammed. Does the air bag have issues if riding lower than its meant too? $800 is a great day compared to $2000 coil overs that I am used too. Thanks for the info.

Hi there, im also looking into possible lowering options for the CLS...

As I want to lower more than most people dream of, does anyone know if there are any problems if I was to remove the standard air suspension setup off the vehicle and replace with something else? Do they throw up any ECU errors etc or anything?

Thank you for any help

I have yet to experience any issues (knock on wood). The car still rides relatively well with the lower stance. I usually ride with my car lowered 1' or 1.2' all the way around. Only issue I've had is the need to replace tires faster.

tilt do you have up close pics of your car ( i am sure you have 100's!). Can you post so i can gauge your drop. premature wear on tires is the least of my concern. Thanks man!
