P030 front rotor upgrade
The time has come to change my front rotors so I've decided to upgrade them to the larger 2-piece ones that come with the P030 package.
I stumbled on a pair of 390mm 2-piece rotors that were on clearance for only $1218. Being they list for over $1000 each I decided to jump on the last pair (part number for rotors 230 421 0912).
Despite my best internet hunting I couldn't find the taller caliper bracket, so I'm having my machine shop fabricate caliper spacers to accommodate for the larger diameter rotors.
I also just order longer mounting bolts to be used with the spacers.
I'll post some pics once I get started. I'm pretty much doing the same upgrade that JHM offers for their RS4 380mm rotor upgrade (see pic).

Thanks, should be fun. All the parts should be arriving by weeks end, so I'll have some pics to post.
On a side note, the company I purchased the rotors from have one more set in stock at the same price.

Rotors are in. One rotor is slightly scuffed on the hat, the others disk is slightly discolored but with the wheels on you will not be able to notice these flaws.
To be honest I could care less... I got them for a great price.
Rotor's diameter are a hair less than 15" (which makes them 380mm, not 390mm) and weigh 28.5lbs each. I'll weigh the stock ones once their off the car.
Waiting just waiting on the bolts and spacers.

suppose your happy with it .. then, wonder what's all that complaining I m reading everywhere about issues with 82tb 
I installed one set of perf pads but didn't have time to test it properly so can't tell what difference.
btw, if you'll ever decide to upgrade rear discs, I have one left 360mm from sl65

Eventually I'm going to do the rears as well. PM me what your asking for your rotor, though shipping's gonna be incredibly costly being their coming from Europe.
BTW, my TB gave me a few issues in the beginning, but I raised the idle (via star) and Jerry revised the file and now it runs perfectly.

I took it as spare for the case I couldn't find the rear bros of my slr front's
or the fitment wouldn't work.
hope to finally find the time to fit all that and, if it will work, that rotor could go and I'll tell you.
now it's just among all my toys
..it's a 360x26mm, weighs exactly 10.560gr, hand brake bell and everything included.
ps: sometime I think at that tb... just beause went crazy finding all parts for mine that wouldn't want to remove it. except, if HP difference is great enough but that's not clear.
so, you had to fit a new bigger butterfly valve .. and you have a stock or 80mm snout ?
or the fitment wouldn't work.

man have you confirmed that those caliper bolts will actually work? I'm doing a conversion myself right now and I'm using these calipers with a 390 mm rotor and I too have to raise the caliper, in my case 20 mm. the bolts that hold the caliper to the bracket are M12 x1.50 thread, the picture you show looks to be M12 X 1.75 thread... I can't find any 90 mm long M12 x 1.5 socket head bolts in a grade 12.9 alloy steel, which these really need to be.
I've searched high and low and with every industrial bolt supplier I can find and the right size in the right thread can't be found anywhere as far as I can find. you really should use a high grade bolt for these, especially since on top of it you are spacing them too which will add even more stress, also your spacers need to be fairly precise, don't just stack some washers. the bolts you show here don't appear to be a high grade bolt but I can only tell so much from pics... you should be careful about just using any bolt that just fits, these really need to be high grade hardware

my calipers are from an S55 so maybe they are different? but they are the same brembo 8 piston caliper, the part #'s you show are both M10 x 1.5 bolts, but mine are larger M12 x 1.5. curious to see if these fit on yours, if they do then I would guess the whole difference is just in the bracket itself is threaded different, I believe the caliper itself is the same difference must only be in the bracket?

I tested one of the new bolts and its on the money. Curious as to why Brembo would use different size bolts on the same calipers...
I used a 10mm hex to remove mine. Are you sure yours are M12's?

yeah man, the threads on the socket head bolts that bolt the caliper to the bracket on mine are def M12, they are the same thread as the lug nut bolts, I have threaded the lug nut bolts directly into this bracket, there def M12... weird

Finally picked up the spacers, they're 1.25" wide and 11mm tall with the centers drilled out for the bolts.
Gonna mock everything up over the weekend to make sure the measurements I took were accurate. I'll post some before and after pictures once I get started.

Still breaking in the rotors and new pads
Here's a few before and after pics, though the 20" wheels still make the 380mm rotors look small.
I just ordered some new AMG logo stickers because the previous owner of the car put these on crooked.

Does anyone happen to know there's a Mercedes 2 piece rotor that would fit the rear of the CLS?
Was thinking the SL P030's might fit but would like to make certain before purchasing.
