please help on where to pull hi/lo signal for a sub

i wanted to install my first ever subwoofer a 10'' w7 w/ a jl 500/1 amp with the stock headunit and hk speakers but i need a little help before i start on how to properly get the signal to the amp
i did do a little research and found that whazzzzuup stated:
I was able to locate the audio signal wires going to the stock subwoofer, without removing the decklid. The wires are visible if you are lying on your back looking up at the decklid (through the hole) towards the driver's side. I then routed the wires and hooked up an RCA plug to those wires (without a line output converter). It works great.
local shops in Sacramento have said to use audio controls lc2i to pull the signal for the sub and any tips on installing or something i should know before i install it myself
thanks

just be sure to have enough juice in your battery ....

so maybe better to conect the positive of the Amp to the accessory FUSE socket (F33, that is located close to the + side of the battery in the spare wheel area)
than to connect it directly to the + of the batt.
This way your mattery monitor module will still work and be able to check if your new amp is drawing to much from your battery..

if I'll find time I'll post my adventure with my Lithium power system ..

are u asking me ?
no cap will help you at starting your car if you were listening for too long to your music while parked ..

I have a big 15Farads carbon supercap and all what he can do if I disocnnect the battery is to lift my electric amplifier panel in the trunk, up and down for two times
(but maybe he 's helpful at getting better bass tones ...)

do this math:
how long you can listen to your music while parked, before getting the "3 minutes timeout message", now ?
considering that the stock amp is about 4-500W and you are adding one more the same size, just count you will have less than half the time before left (because Voltage drop is more than proportional)

I have a quite different setup so better if you ask Whazzup for feedback updates at using his setup ...

2021 glc300 4matic
Figured it out! 2021 glc300 signal tap

Okay so I've been looking for weeks now to try to figure out where to tap into my stock audio system to get signal to my loc or my lc2i well I finally figured it out anybody with a 2021 glc300 4matic without the premium surround with the stock system all you have to do is super simple is tap the sub which is in the passenger footwell underneath the carpet behind the black plastic there's a sub right there and the wires right in front there's 2 purple wires clipped into it you just tap those wires right there run your wires to your loc and there you go easy simple it can be any any freaking easier but I hope that helps people who r looking to add an amp and sub and keeping the stock head unit , Im Def going to change the speakers but it's brand new car so the speakers work jus fine right now .
