What is a BACK FOG LAMP indicated in the manual for CLS55 AMG?
So, I reads about the fog lamps and how to turn them on. I find that if you put the low beams on and pull that switch out one click, the front fog lamps will come on and a green light will go on near that switch.
Then it says (and I may have the colors wrong) that if I pull that switch out to the second click I will have a BACK FOG LIGHT. So I pull it one click and voila there are the two fog lamps under the head lights and the green indicator near the switch. So I pulls the switch out to the second position and I don't see any change, no lights in the back of the car at all. Just tail lights license light that is it.
What am I doing or not doing right? How does that BACK FOG LIGHT work?
Thanks Popeye

You aren't doing anything wrong. When you pull the knob back twice, a red light illuminates on the tail light assembly. It will only show on one side. I forgot if it was the right or left.
life of me I couldn't see any difference in the two. Tonight
I finally saw the full lighting of the left lens. Hmmm how
bout that.. This CLS55 AMG is like an easter egg hunt for
me, I'm finding stuff all the time.
One other thing that's interesting is sometimes when I
open the driver door I get the ding ding ding that goes
on forever. Sometimes it leaves me alone if I'm doing
stuff and have the door open. But that's for another post...
