CLS 55
CLS 55 Steering Angle Sensor
Hi.

I think I need to replace my steering angle sensor. What I can read is is a common problem with the CLS 55 w219.
The problem is that I am trying to find the SKU of this part and also if it is the same part for the CLS 55 as for the CLS 350 and 500 and so on.

I also heard that it might help to just clean the sensor and put it back. Anyone had any luck with that?

There might be a problem with the slave driver (!? don't know a better word for it), if the steering angle sensor was pushed too far.


There are different angle sensors available, depending on VIN.
CLS350 or CLS500 do have the same sensor.

AndreNY: Thanks alot, but when I do a search on that SKU everything sort of point me in the ditection of a Electric Steering column adjuster. Can you please have another look at this.

Before you invest in the steering angle sensor... check the switch on the brake pedal responsible for turning on the brake lights. It is a double pole switch that when fails it trigger a warning message.
