Checked out a local 2006 cls500 amg yesterday, it has 220k kms on it. Drove and shifter flawlessly. Interior was immaculate. Only issue was fault codes for brakes and the shocks. Which the owner says he will take care of.

He wants to trade for my 07 escalade ext, kms are the same.

Any issues that I should be aware of other then the usual forum complaints of the air ride, transmission shifting, crank position sensor? I'm guessing if it's at the milage it's at, anything that was to go wrong already has.

Any help or advice would be appreciated, thanks.

500 is not an amg.

only cls55 amg which is 5.4l supercharged or cls63 amg (not available in 06)

It's the amg sport package basically appearance and paddle shift and amg badging here n there.

Real question is what kind of money is he selling it for? Seems like a ton of mileage and book value on them with that kind of mileage is really low.

He's not selling but a straight trade for my 07 escalade ext, which is high kms as well, 235k kms.

So it's still got a brake code, but it's got new sensors, new pads and rotors, done at a indy shop, would it need to be reset from the dealer?

I don't believe it's the sbc codes I'm on my way to go see it now. But if it is, worst case is it should be covered by mb. if not it's a 6-700 part on eBay and I'm a bit of a diy so I could fix that.
