New guy looking at AMG with ?'s
Hey guys, I'm in the market for an amg and I've come across a few I like but I'm a complete newb when it comes to MB.
If I need to post this somewhere else let me know.
Anyways, I'm looking at a '07 cls63 amg with about 71k miles on it for ~28k. If anyone frequents ebay, you'll see it on there. I'm curious if there are any known issues with this specific year and model? It would not be my daily so I am not worried much about mpg or tires. I realize this is a European car which comes with the "expensive to fix" stigma and rightfully so. I say that to say, I realize to an extent of what I am getting into but I want to know if I should just stay away or look for anything specific.
Anything mechanically related I should ask the dealer about?
Other amg's I like are the e63 and c63 amg. I have about 30k to work with which is why I'm not looking at anything newer.

Welcome. New here too. You may have better luck posting your model specific questions in the AMG or CLS model forums, specific to the car you're looking at. Welcome and best of luck.

Head bolts issue. search the forum and you'll learn about it.
Airmatic system. get some experts to check the car for you if you cant tell.
At that mileage. Spark plugs and coil packs are due to be changed. also transmission service and LSD and brake system flush. that's about $4500.
door handles are poorly designed and the microchip rust quickly causing it to fail. so check them out too.
Other than that, this car is a BEAST!
