Air leak...

Air leak...
Well as I drove into the garage today I heard this loud hissing air leak and then the front passenger side sank to the ground....
Ugh...
80k on my 2011 CLS63 and I had been informed the front bags were replaced at one time but I am guessing I have a bad bag...

Hey Mike,
I also have a 2011 W219. Looking at the service records from before I bought it - all four shocks/struts (or whatever we call these things) have been replaced at one time or another. One of the fronts - twice.
The car is currently doing fine, with 44k on the clock, but I think one day, I'll head to the garage and find the same issue you're experiencing. Have you started the car up again to see if the compressor will keep the suspension inflated to the proper height while the car's running?
Pretty sure the system is all connected, so one leak would lead to the whole car settling after not running for a few hours.
Even though I haven't had to mess with air leaks in the suspension myself, I have thought about it.
Have you considered going to coilovers instead of the air shocks? You would loose the functionality of being able to "adjust" your suspension on the fly, but you do get the peace of mind that comes with a lifetime warranty over defects. You can also set the ride height where you want it (well, sort of...but if you have a good shop do the install, they'll be able to 4 corner balance the car and set the height where you want it. It'll also handle better)
Just something to consider!
Best of luck

So someone had mentioned that the air valve is right behind the passenger front wheel inside the inner fender. Well I just removed both pieces of the inner fender and nothing...
Any idea where the valve is on my 2011 CLS63?

Thanks

I went with BC racing Coil for $975. You will also need 2 rear control arm from E350. Total part cost $1400 + $300 installation + $100 alignment = $1800
So far I am very happy. It has total 30 clicks to adjust, I am in 15 clicks now. I will adjust to 20 clicks to see how the car handle. At least I don't worry my air suspension anymore.

I'm currently running into the same issue, I'm considering of purchasing a Tein CS?
also once the Coilovers are added? Is there any error Light that will pop up on the Dash?
