Dynamic and pulse seat problem

I recently purchased a 2006 CLS55 AMG with the IWC package Beautiful car with only 34K miles. The owner let it set too long in the garage and the battery went down and wouldn't start. Now that the battery is at a full charge the Dynamic and pulse seats don't work. When I press the pulse control it blinks a few times and shuts off. The dynamic control turns on, then turns off, with no functions. Also can't move the lumbar position. I'm thinking the low voltage caused the seat control to lose its limits and needs to be renormalized? Or re synchronized? Has anyone had a similar experience and could help in getting them back working?

It is a common issue as the pump burns out.
Actually, the actual pump is good, but there is a small plastic valve that melts (happen to my own and several other owners here).
There is an updated pump / hoses that will resolve it.

Where is this pump located? One pump for both seats? Seems unlikely that they both would fail at the same time doesn't it?

trunk drivers side. it's under / behind some carpet paneling.

it's encased in foam insulation (with poor air flow, hence the typical melting part). About 3 inches square and 10 inches long or so (from my recollection)

has pics that show the issues as well

Thanks Funktron. After reading all the posts I was able to pull the pump. It has a 4 pin power connector. I've tried various combinations to get the pump to run with no results. So, I opened it up and applied 12v directly to the motor and it runs. Draws a lot of current, but it runs. Does the 4 pin connector need 12v on more than 2 connectors?

not sure about the wiring for the pump....maybe someone else can chime in with an electrical diagram
were you able to see any melted parts up by the valve?

this part in particular:

toward the bottom you can see the deformation. I was able to block ports with my fingers and blow into one and feel the air escaping out of the melted part. The lack of pressurization is what shuts the system off.
