i found this ad, listed as a 2011 CLS63.

did they make this model in 2011? i thought 2010 was the last year for this generation.

although the steering wheel does look different with the silver spoke at the bottom. where as the other updated steering wheel was the same but had just a silver horizontal strip at the bottom.

Yes, in North America the 219 was made through 2011.

There is a difference between model years in Germany and here in the US (and I assume Canada too). In Germany, if a car is manufactured in 2010 it is a 2010 model. In North American, due to the lag of shipping cars here from Europe, a car manufactured in 2010 can be listed as a model year 2011. Below are four cars currently offered for sale on AutoTrader.com that are all listed as model year 2011. I have included the manufacturing date for each car just ahead of the link - all manufactured in 2010 but sold as a model year 2011. I hope this clarifies and is helpful.

yea I'm familiar with this. So the 2005-2010 would be 2006-2011 here in Canada/ US?

if that's the case then Mercedes didn't miss a year when they went to the new platform. I bought a new CLS63 in Canada in 2012 as. 2012 model and it was the new generation m157

Yep, the last of the 219 platform was distributed in the N0rth American as a 2011 modle and the first year of the 218 platform was a model year 2012 and I assume some were manufactured in 2011. Do you know the manufaction date of your car? If not, provide me with your VIN and I can provide it to you.

mercedes new offerings do nothing for me. and always wanted to try the 6.3
