It looks like the base frame and the seat cushions are interchangeable between the CLS55 and CLS63. Provide yoiur VIN and I can tell you whether your leather was used with the CLS63 model.

Suggestion - see if your provider will give you the part number and color code MB would use to provide you with replacement covers. According to the parts catalog your driver's seat bottom cover is part number 219 910 33 46 9E38. The last four digits being the color code - which is not the color code for the interior which is 281A. So, in talking with the seat cover providers, ain trying to be talking the same language, try to match up to the part number, cover color code or at least the interior color code. Hope that helps.

I have put later model 2007 e63 bottom leather swab onto my ventilated 2006 cls63 seats. There are differences per year.

The way the swabs are attached has changed from 2006 to 2007 the 2007 swabs are imo better attached to the seat base through the middle where you *** goes so they cant deform the leather like the earlier seats. (this is all built into the lower cushion/foam attachment points).

But you cant use the 2007 e63 not ventilated bottom foam seat base with the ventilated cls63 leather because it doesnt have the spider web cushioning for the fans to blow through into (or the cut outs for the fans but its literally foam you can cut it out with a craft knife and stick whatever fans you want in the seats) the perforated leather (this is the only real thing stopping anybody from retrofitting fans in non ventilated seats and i think would be easy to buy that spider web sponge stuff from somewhere.

The other difference between e63 and cls63 leather is the stitching is a slightly different shape but the average person is never going to notice this.
Also my E63 bottom cushion/foam has extra foam glued onto the outer bolsters which I also added when I fitted the e63 lower swab to my CLS63 bases...... this may also be a year thing but I have no way of knowing for sure.
Also the E63 and CLS63 use different methods for the seat heater element I cant remember which but one the element is separate to the swab the other is attached or sowed directly to the swab its no big deal but just requires noting how the cabling is routed and the plugs are the same so no big deal.

I then modified and removed the factory ventilated seat fans and upgraded them to larger bigger flow units..... Quite a mission.

But yeah imo the 2007 up seats are far better quality and seem to made by johnson controls.
