The cars in the usa actually are Indium Grey metallic(I checked a window sticker) and the color is only available with the launch cars, it cannot be ordered on a normal cls. Mercedes-Benz of canada offers irridium grey but I think the us calls it indium grey (or they could be two different colors).

About Iridium Grey
The color Shoes and others enjoy on their CLS 500s is, indeed, Iridium Grey, Color #963. This color was developed by Mercedes-Benz especially for the CLS-class of vehicle.
In the United States, MBUSA decided to employ this color on the launch edition only. Later this year, it will be offered in the United States as part of a Designo package; everywhere else, however, a buyer can now, and will continue to be able to, order it simply as a special paint.
This paint color is indeed special. On the spectrum of colors, it falls somewhere between Desert Silver and Pewter, and it is an ideal complement to the Champagne color of leather offered for the CLS.

I misspoke!
The color is Indium Grey, not Iridium Grey. The Iridium color is Iridium Silver.
Thoughtful of Mercedes-Benz to name to colors so closely together as to foment such confusion so easily!
