evosport V-6 Headers (C240, C320 and C32)

Evosport is proud to announce development and production of our own W203 C-Class Shorty Headers. Fitments include C240, C320 and C32 AMG V6 models.

Like all of our shorty headers, the installation of these is a direct bolt-in and does not impact the function or placement of the cats. They are also coated with our NASA-Spec True Ceramic Barrier coating (which will show up to a 120 degree drop in radiated temp from the header)

Headers feature:
  1. Single piece 3/8’’ flange design for leak free installation.
  2. Billet Steel CNC one piece collector flange.
  3. 1 5/8’’ primary pipes.
  4. Aluminized steel construction with 2000F HiTemp Coating.
  5. 10-15HP gains on C240s and C320s.
  6. 20-25HP gains on C32 AMG.
Here is a dyno on our C32:

Introductory pricing $1495

C55 are not a problem. We just need two things:

1. A customer that want's to place a firm order
2. That customer or another one with a car local for fitment and dyno-testing

Thanks,
Brad

are those dyno runs from a stock C32 vs the one with headers?

Why are the before and after curves so different?

I have ordered a set of these headers, and they are in route to me now! I cannot wait to see how the car runs with them! If you wanna make more power, you gotta get these!

I think they look odd as well, basically the car starts loosing performance from 5.3K revs?
Is it really going to add 60 HP/NM TQ at 4.2K RPM?

I'd expect the graph to look more like Cobra Dyno Run

We charge 6-8 hours depending on what condition the car is in. Typically it is 6 hours.

No, sorry they do not. We can do them, but we need a car local and a willing buyer.

The car is not stock as far as I know. It had a boost kit on it I think. The reason it falls so hard with the stock manifold is that it is too restrictive. At higher RPM the car cannot push enough air out to make consistant power. As such, when you add the headers the car can push enough air without restriction and the power stays more consistant. I am sure that Vadim can shed some more light on this from an engineering perspective, but that is the layman's answer. Hope that helps.

Thanks,
Brad

I think you may be reading the graph wrong. These headers make more Torque and HP throughout the powerband.

Legend for the Sheet:
Dark Red: New Header Torque
Bright Red: New Header Horsepower
Dark Blue: Stock Manifold Torque
Bright Blue: Stock Manifold Horsepower

for the introductory pricing of 1495, are these headers ceramic coated? i see on the website it is $299 extra for dual stage thermobaric ceramic coating, yet i understand the original description of the headers say that they are all ceramic coated. does the extra $299 option include a different type of coating? thanks

The coating is included. I am not sure where you see that it is $299 extra for this header? If you can show me that would be great, so I can correct it.

Thanks,
Brad

I posted this thread on the benzworld.org/r170 forum. Maybe someone will sign up. I assume a 320 or 32 would work. Would it just be a day for measurements and then another day to get them installed? I may eventually get to the point where I'd be willing to drive down from the bay area myself.

Oh, correct. Yea, that is for headers like Supersprint. Good catch, but we simply have decided to include it in every header we currently make as it is such a great addition to the overall header package.

That is correct. We have never tested on a stock car. Typically headers are not a big gain until you do some other mods. That is when the manifolds start to be a restriciton (as seen in the charts) and that is why you can get big gains.

As we retain the 4 cats and with the significant noise deadening in the car, the increase is almost nill at cruising speed. At WOT, you will hear a bit more of a growl. Still passes the "in-law" or "wife" test IMHO.

LOL - I am sure that will be deleated in record time. The organizers do not like us much as we are the "competition" baord. You cannot even type our name or MBWorld. Pretty funny. I don't get it, but oh well. Cannot lose sleep over that kind of stuff!

You are correct, any 32 or 320 would work. I would love to get it done. We would need the car for a few days. But we could make the owner a killer deal. The modification needed to the existing jig should be very small to make the SLK work.

Thanks,
Brad

Brad you are correct it did not take long at all for the post to be deleted.

I am very interested in the headers for an SLK32. Too bad I am not in Cali.

Sucks.

If they really cared about the Mercedes-Benz community and wanted to help the SLK320 and 32 guys get a great header, you think they would let you post it. It is not as if we asked you to do that or we did it. There was no rules violation, it is just that it is from us. If it was from any other shop, they would have let it go.

Thanks,
Brad

i might be interested in the headers for the C55, i am local, and have been to your shop for a few things. I am perplexed because i wanna do a chip, audio, or headers. In your guys opinion headers or chip, the chip i would go with will probably be Kleemann's because it's price is more appealing. I know you guys use powerchip, but twice the price is kinda rough. I would be interested to see what your take is on it... thanks in advance...
