Suddenly Powerless?!?!
Did any of u C55 owners experience be4?
when i was driving down on the highway at about 120kmh, i knoticed that the gear was at 3 the whole time, couldnt switch with neither finger tips nor with switching modes. Suddenly the rev gone sky high, however the car isnt accelerating anymore. It was still on 3rd gear when it got to 40kmh and still wasnt accelerating. I had to park at the side, restart the engine, then everything went back to normal. Anybody know how to fix this?

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED TO MY CAR LIKE A MONTH AGO! It SCARED THE CRAP OUTTA ME!! the car couldnt accelerate...it felt like it was in Neutral when you rev high and not move........
I put on my hazard lights....and tried to keep the car as moving as possible (since there were no emergency lane on the section of the highway)....i was seriously scared.......i tried switching manual mode/sport mode/ comfort mode....still didnt work...............
after like 3 mins....opp! it worked......damn........

coz i was at the inner lane, and yea.. felt like it was on neutral or somthin...
gladly there wasnt many cars beside me so i managed to merge to emergency lane and restart my engine..
did that happen again to u after?

probably just ECU short...that happened to mine once according to my brother cuz he took the car out. He said the car just lost all power and won't shift down or up at all, but it stayed in gear unlike yours which probably dropped into neutral for some reason.

Same thing happened to me twice in the c240...I was going uphill in 4th and it wouldnt downshift so it stalled going up to Big Bear. I put it in neutral got off to the side and tried to turn it on again it wouldn't budge, still stalling. I had put it in park and completely turn it off before the issue completely disappeared. I think its the tranny computer (Windows 98?)
I had friends in the car....I feel blessed to be one of the few to stall a benzo with an Auomatic tranny :p
