I was at a small track event today, saw some fun cars and did some 50-200km/h races...

The M5 is just about to be released, this one was a press-car...

I had the opportunity to go for a ride in it, and WOW, I was so impressed.

First of all, the guy that borrowed it from BMW drove it to its max all day, (and this is even after it has been abused by several magasines etc), and it could still, with 4 passengers, keep up with the Gallardo from 50-250km/h.
The two E55s (touring and sedan) didnt keep up with it at all.

Then, the stability was amazing, it wasn't quite porsche 911turbo territory, but not far from it. Mercedes AMG and Audi RS doensn't stand a chance against this car. (Atleast for now, remember that I drive C32 and RS4, so I am not a bmw fanatic)

But this was in sportmode. When he pushed the comfort button, the car turned into something simmilar to the E55 in just a second, the perfect autobahn cruiser taking the turns really softly.
And again, after the press of a button, he was back into sportmode and it felt like beeing in a porsche.

There will soon be an article about this car and event at the bmw m5 board.
