Dual sided exhaust....

If I want to install a dual-sided exhaust (quad tip), do I have to buy a new rear skirt or can a body shop cut an exit point on the right side of my stock kit? I like the stock lower body kit and was wondering if I can just modify it and add a Carlsson or Lorinser dual-sided exhaust.

Dual exhaust comes with a template where you put on top of yr current rear skirt and cut out the opening. But the problem with most of the aftermarket (off the shelf) dual exhaust is it will not fit on a C32. When you look underneath the car, you'll noticed that there isnt much room for the right exhaust to pass through the spare tirewell. And there is a heat issue, our spare tirewell is only made with plastic, I dont think it can sustain the heat generated from the exhaust. From what I was told the right exhaust is hidden across the inside of the rear bumper. I think RBTech is the only tuner that I know who can custom made the dual exhaust for W203. If you ask me how did the Carlsson guys do it, my guess is they've probably modified the spare tirewell (just take the whole thing out) and make it fit. They have all the time and manpower to make their showcar to look as perfect as they want!
But my take with the dual exhaust is...it is probably for cosmetic purpose more than performance. If AMG thinks a dual exhaust is necessary (a la AMG C-coupe), I think they should have done it to the C32. Mind you the AMG C-coupe was developed at the same time as the sedan last year.

That is the only reason I want it. Symetry is key to me. I like the look of the M5's & CL's with dual sided exhaust. Performance wise, I don't think it will make a signifiant difference on the C32. Speed is good enough, and I will be looking at pulley kits, air filters, and upgraded intercoolers for performance gains.
