MOD: Keyless Go in a 2006 C55 AMG, Can it be done from dealer/other source?

I'm looking at ordering a 2006 C55 AMG this fall and I would like to get the Keyless Go setup installed in the vehicle after purchase. It's a shame this option isn't available on the C Class.

Could the Keyless Go system be installed when the C55 is delivered to the dealer from Germany or the install (MOD) be accomplished by a custom auto shop or any other source with the parts ordered? Is this install possible as it is on so many other models..

Keyless Go is optional on: S, SL, CL, CLK, CLS, E and ML 500

Thanks,

M Doub

PS. Pictures of the C55 this fall

It could be very easy, or it could be extremely difficult to accomplish. If the Keyless Go system interfaces easily with the engine management and immobilizer, then it might be a matter of plug & play (with a lot of wiring). If it doesn't, it may not be possible at all. I'd err on the side of caution and say that it will probably prove quite difficult.

Keyless GO on C-Class , pretty luxury.
Mnay E-Class and CLK-Class don't have it.
Let me know how it is going
Cheers

p.s. I wish the 2007 C-Class W204 will give us a C63 AMG Individual Edition, which we can stuff every option from the S, CL, CLS into it ! :p

I asked the dealer and one of the tech guys in the service dept when we were picking up the C55, and they both told us that KeyLess Go could not be installed, either at the dealership or aftermarket, due to some wiring/enigne issues.

if anyone finds a way to get it installed, please let me know how.

Keyless Go is intended to be 100% theft proof based on MB's latest technology starting to be used on the E W211 and CLK W209. If a street repair shop can do it for you; that's not much point to have it :p

you can get all the needed parts from a CLK and install them into a W203 with no issue. the system will work perfectly. the only issue is that MB will not make keyless go keys for cars that do not have keyless go as a factory option on the books.

sunman, a board member here, has begun the process and may have a connection through which he can get keys with keyless go for the W203. If you get the keys it is a simile procedure as long as you want to spend the time and money.

contact sunman for further info.

actually no, it's been discussed at length in the w203 forum. even if you could get all the parts from a CLK, just the programming and everything is near impossible. I believe sunman said it himself. if sunman can't do it, then I don't think anyone can.
