Derrick,

With the air box on you can't see anything. I have to change the intake manifold in a few days. I promise to take pictures of the engine with the airbox off and show everyone what the Reentech S/C and intercooler look like on the C55 engine!

Promise!

Or, do you still need to downsift in the low rpm range to get it to move? I hope my question makes sense... lol

Makes total sense!
I felt the same about the stock C55 engine.
After they put the s/c on (they remap the ecu)
They told me to drive the car hard for the first couple of weeks. (It's like the car has a new heart) So...I drove it hard!
With the S/C and the reprograming of the ecu its a different car. Completely.
In the begining I thought something was wrong becuase it would not change gears til around the 5-6 rmp range. (That's when left in Sport Mode)
So to answer your question there is a lot more power in that range.
The best thing for you to do is to try and find someone who has done the s/c on the C55 and drive it. (it's really hard to describe the driving experiance, it's awesome)
Last night I had to go to the local store and I felt like turning the nos on.
On a straight away, in sport mode (ESP off) 1st gear at about 2 rpm I hit the petal and...
the car fishtailed all the way throught 1st and 2nd gears...It finally settled in the middle of 3rd gear. It's a rush!
(If the ESP is on the car is more stable)
If you're ever in LA, let me know.

Thanks for the great info! It sounds like an incredible driving experience... I can't wait to get this done. If you don't mind me asking, how much was your setup?

I plan on adding an LSD with my buildout, so I will always have ESP off... hehe. I live in Vegas so after I get my c55 supercharged, I'll have to come down there and we can race... NO NOS of courses... I don't want to put 20 into my car and get smoked!

ESP is not a bad thing, especially with that much power and wet surfaces...
Why remove it when you can just turn it off with a button??

As for the race - sorry! the nos will be on. I certainly did not spent over $30k to lose a race

maybe around 485rwhp

I'm having the following done next week:

Exchange the intake manifold, increase the nos to 100 shot, and a dyno.

I'll keep everyone posted!

Does anybody here have LSD on their c55? In adding the LSD, do you totally eliminate wheel spin?

you wont totally eliminate wheel spin, you will reduce it but it will still light up the tires if u punch WOT from a dead stop...it will just spin moving straight forward rather then doing the happy tail dance.

Richard - Who/what company is the Las Vegas installer you speak of? I live in Las Vegas... that's great for me!

I plan on sending my car to Brandon at Kleemann. Just waiting for my HRE 441r's to be delivered!
Thanks for sharing the dyno graph...very impressive power under the curve Brandon didn't state which shop/company, other than to say it's in the works. Good luck with your venture to force induction, keep us posted with your results.

LSD would be most beneficial if you plan to track your car. When cornering hard with a LSD, more torque will be transferred to the wheel with more traction.

Bennyz - Did you leave your cats in place? With the Kleemann setup (headers and downpipe), they actually remove the primary cats and reroute the 02 sensors.

Did you punch it from a dead start or rolling or both? Where did you test it? Need to check that beast out!

with the nos on it's best to let the rmp hit 2500 rpm in sport mode (1st gear) and then drop the petal. The nos hits right away with 0 hesitation. It's nice. I have yest to race anyone with the nos on... I'm still getting a feel for it.
There's a good stretch next to my house...pretty open and safe...
I'm not racing anyone, I'm just trying to get a good read on the way it all works... (Still trying to play between sport vs. manual mode... ESP on or off...)
