There should be an AMG badge there, however, I've noticed that the RHD models use a different shift lever which does not seem to have a badge on it.

The above pic is definitely a C32AMG.

My new 2005 C55 also does not have a benz star or AMG logo on the shift lever. It is simply a brushed "aluminum look" flat circular badge.

The above pic is definately a C32....... its mine :p

As for the gear lever, its brushed aluminium with black lettering with the words C32 on it, although not clearly visible in the picture

a close up of a C32 shift knob would look like this:

Yea i absolutely hate the way my shifter looks...ive been looking for a badge to stick in the middle. I would love an amg symbol badge like the one thats on the name plate on the engine cover but i cant even find a simple mercedes star emblem. If anyone knows of anyone that sells any sort of badge please post a reply...Thanks!

The year change over takes place in July I believe. So if it was built in 07/04 it is a 2005 model. How can you put 43,000 miles on a car in less then a 10 month time frame? The owner must have driven like a 150 miles everyday.

It's very easy to do.

I have three cars -- the third is a perpetual Hertz rental that I put about 6,000 miles a month on. It's very easy to do when you live in a city with massive urban sprawl and good roads that allow you to consistantly do 70+. I figure I spend an average of about 3 hours a day in my car up to seven days a week.

Thanks, G.
