C55 exhaust?

Need some exhaust ideas? Who makes the best cat-back exhaust(sound&genuine power increase) for the C55? And and tuners in the North Jersey are?

Well, I guess it would be the one on your car at the moment since there are no aftermarket exhausts available from anyone as far as I can tell.

No Brabus, Renntech, Eisenmann, Carlson, whatever..

IMO, i would keep the stock exhaust and put $ on other mods first. i think c55 AMG exhaust produces unbeatable sound.

And it's very efficient already. C32's have run 12.7's with stck exh, pullies etc.Not really necessary to change the stck exhaust.Same with the C55 and E55 F/I.T (E55 F/I)They have run mid 11's with pulley, chip, airfilters and stck exhaust.

Eliminate your resonator and you'll love the sound.

Good idea,I have heard someone on another thread about a sound pipe, in place of resonator. What exactly is it and do most bexhaust shops know what that is? You guys have been great. Also any tuners in Jersey?

Other than software, airfilters and supercharging what more are you thinking you want done to your car? By the way elimination of the resonator in my opinion just leads to a louder exhaust and not so much an increase in power.I use reso's to quiet down a car.Eliminating it I can't see any HP gain. Other than PowerChips in Cali I do deal with a chip tuner here in NY.He's done both of the W202 C55's we have here.

It really is a waste of money replacing the C55 exhaust (and exhaust on any amg car for that matter). The AMG oem exhaust are made by Sebring (which also sells many aftermarket and race applications), is already highly efficient. Replacing the exhaust on these cars is almost like replacing a Kleemann chip with a Renntech chip. There really is no point, unless you have a money tree in your backyard. Save your money and buy headers or a supercharger.
