Give me a break...this is but one link in an endless chain of your making false statements on these forums with one express purpose: to market BMWs by trying to make Mercedes look bad. You have a long past, and this weekend I'm going to spend some time cataloging it, because I'm sick and tired of your constant protestations of innocence in this matter...having the material all in one place (and in a file where i can very quickly throw it up whenever you post material hostile to Mercedes) will serve as a constant reminder to any of the people who might take you seriously that you should not be taken seriously.

But the point is that YOU indignantly insisted that *I* read the test, acting as though you were ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE that it had such a statement. Clearly, it did not, and thus you made a FALSE STATEMENT. You also made the statement that Autocar AND ALL EURO MAGS perform ALL of their acceleration tests on a "dusty airfield", ALSO a false statement. And now you would resort to redefining the word "TRACK" to mean "AIRFIELD". The article did not contain the word "dusty" OR "airfield". In fact, though Autocar's website does not have a search engine, I used google's advanced search engine to search Autocar's site for the words "airfield", "air field", and "dusty". I got ONE hit: the word "dusty" appears in the following article which is not even a road test but an article about Montoya's lap time in a practice heat:

Wow. Perhaps you might be able to find a single, solitary Autocar article wherein they complain about a dusty surface, or about testing on an airfield, particularly a dusty one?

Couple this with the fact that you, who never under *any* circumstances fail to present data to *support* your argument, remained silent despite *repeated* requests from me to do so, can only lead me to conclude that you *did* know that the article said no such thing, and that you were sitting there with fingers crossed, hoping that I didn't bother to read it. Too bad....

PLUS, you are *still* refusing to produce *any* data supporting your claim that Euro mags always perform their tests with a passenger, again despite my making numerous requests for you to prove this assertion. Why? Perhaps because it's also false, and you have nothing to support it? Time and time again, you make claims which fall flat, and then whine about being "frustrated" when I point out, entirely accurately, that you are making baseless, false claims. Cry me a river, dude...the emperor has no clothes.

Finally, there is your history of making false claims even *after* they were demonstrated to be false. This weekend I will document your repeated inaccurate claim of the CLS55's performance in a shootout with the M5, even after I had repeatedly linked you both the magazine article AND A VIDEO showing that you were wrong. In other words, you continued to make FALSE STATEMENTS on these forums even AFTER it had been pointed out to you that they WERE false.

Yes, I take it very seriously when someone is involved in a four-year-plus effort to spread propaganda all over the Internet, here and in multiple Audi S-car forums, in an attempt to market BMW M cars and undermine any and all competitors. You are a liar for falsely stating that all Euro magazines do it. And again you deliberately try to spin by changing the subject. You were NOT DISCUSSING TOP GEAR. You WERE DISCUSSING AUTOCAR. The fact that ONE Euro mag MIGHT perform their acceleration tests on an airfield is BY NO MEANS PROOF that ALL OF THEM DO IT.

Further, I *watch* Top Gear, and have NEVER seen them complain about dust on the airfield inhibiting acceleration, which after all is your central claim. So how about you stop your mock protestations and actually produce some proof? Even if you can, it doesn't change the fact that you were talking about AUTOCAR AND ALL EURO MAGS, NOT about Top Gear, but I simply refuse to believe any claim you make without proof any more.

This assumes that you have one, AND that anyone would be wiling to believe you at this point even if you do post one. As pointed out: a timeslip proves nothing, not even which car ran it, let alone the state of tune the car was in. Either way I see a post that you made on the South Africa Audi Forum after you mounted them up bragging about YOUR decreased 60' times, which I believe that you entitled "got me a quattro M3" or something similar. Remember that? I do, because it was made exactly one week before the date on the 13.0 timeslip you posted in this forum, which you claimed was made when you were "bone stock". But I'm sure that you mounted them up, bragged to the Audi forum about how good they are and how much they improved your launch and 60', and then one week later removed them...entirely plausible.

I mean, really, dude: do you actually believe that anyone takes your claims seriously after seeing evidence like that? In a Mercedes forum?? Talk about your delusions of grandeur....

if you brake torque a C32 off the line it should be just as good as a manual M3 or SMG not using launch control, who knows maybe they are equal w/ brake torque method.

Yeah Improviz! I'm glad M&M hasn't gotten away with his deceptive stories on how he's still the fastest M3. Keep 'em in line!

I love the fact that a thread like this doesn't get shut down and members banned for talking shop. I got the "boot" from a Lexus forum for simply stating hard numbers! So keep this thread alive and love the videos!

PS I still maintain my respect for the M3 but hate it when other enthusiasts can be so ignorant when watching a video that clearly shows one car faster than another. Take the blindfold off fellas...the C32 won in this case. I'm sure there are plenty of videos of M3's beating C32/C55's too. But don't ignore facts, especially when there is a damn video of it!

 

It is horrible people like him that give us BMW guys a bad reputation. I wish BMW would screen their customers and block out the morons (no pun intended) and other idiots who are too damn snooty and think they are gods gift to the automotive world. IMO C32 might be a tad faster, but the m3 is the better sports car

 

On paper maybe. I had an 03 M5 and I would have a real hard time keeping up with my C55 on sprints to 100, I am quite sure. I drive a stick pretty well, but no way I could shift up to redline as good as an the automatic. That combined with the notchy M5 Getrag tranny and fear of a mis-shift (read money-shift for obvious reasons) will cause you to lose to my faster C55 in the real world. On the Autobahn at high speeds ... perhaps another story.

ROFL...you guys had to come on here and make your point by refering to magazines where they test cars in closed facility while all we need is a video showing the C32 is faster from a ROLL and will eventually pass the M3 at high speed. Seeing the video of a C32 beat a M3 in a street race must have been a dagger in your hearts. Face it, you guys can't bare the truth that's why you come down here and talk all kinds of trash.

so what M-phibian is in Navy? if he would do the **** like he claim he would do if he see us in person, i'm pretty sure he has issues. I can't wait for the moment when I can call the cop and get him arrested and sue the pants off of him if he actually lay his finger on me.

like I said earlier, From a stop it can go either way unless they are driven by professional then the M3 would have the upper hand. From a roll to top speed the C32 has proven to be a winner. And no one here's making any claim that the C32 can out run the M3 on the track.

so put all of that other bull***** you guys brought up aside, which is faster from a roll like the video have showned? I'm pretty sure it's the C32 from many personal experience. One of them includes running a friend's 02 SMG.
