12.492 1/4 @ 116.80
2.026 60'
I made several passes putting up 12.4 - 12.7 at 114 - 116 mph all day long. My 60' ranged from 2.026 - 2.204 LOL
Clearly if I could hookup and run this car when it's a decent temp outside, I could easily have this car in the mid - high 11's. My MPH is totally there to do it. And especially if it's cold outside, I can probaby even pull some 119 - 120 mph passes.
PROPS to my friends at KLEEMANN for building me such a GREAT CAR w/ absolutely no problems (knock on wood). Remember before the Kleemann conversion I was putting up 14.2's at 99 mph. Brandon and Cory at KleemannUSA ROCK!
There was a Kleemann Chipped CL 65 (v12 bi-turbo) that was running there with me and he was putting up 12.20's - 12.50's @ 114 - 115 with a 1.9' 60' ft. Cleary he is the better driver because my MPH was higher yet I put down a higher et.
Oh yea - there were 2 twin turbo porsches out there putting down low 13's.
Anyways - I plan on going back mid october when it's around 60 degrees and clicking off some 11.80 - 11.90's... stay tuned!
BTW - Roseylv has video of him and I racing at the track from his car (c32 amg) when he clicked off a 13.9. Beg him to post it!

BTW - my buddy ran his Yamaha R1 sportbike and was pulling 13.1 - 13.3. Vegas is a terrible place to run a car and expect a decent time.
I'm completely satisfied with the time with all things considered. My 60' times were terrible. If I could have hooked up, those would have been 12.1 - 12.2 passes in 100 degree weather. Not to shabby IMO. My rear end was fishtailing and I was spinning nearly half way down the track.

i was thinking the same thing about e55. it'd probably put down those numbers w/out the high trap speed like that at the sea level elevation and cooler temp. but there's no way it could replicate those numbers in similar conditions as you ran.
and the fact that cl65 ran slower et, that tells me a lot.
great #'s, and get that bad boy into 11's! would that be a first 11sec C55?

And yes, I'm pretty sure that it would be the first w203 C55 in the 11's unless Bennyz beats me to it

First off It was nice to finally see the Kleeman in person + meet Josh, he's a nice guy.
I concurr about the conditions, It was a typical Vegas night mid to low 90's.
I was able to snap a few pics of the Kleeman as well as the CL65 which is obviously a work of art. As for videos I do have a few although I am currently out of town and won't be able to post till around Tuesday so Stay tuned.
Hey Josh, have you been able to get the vids from the Handy cam? HOw did they turn out?
On a side note...Josh, we have to go out to the car meet w/ CL65 guy + other awesome cars. Now freeway runs will yeild some great footage.
Oh and last thing, congrats on finally getting your E/T down. It appeared like you were pressing the issue in the begging + just getting a feel for what the car would do. We gota hed to So Cal and get you some slicks

Josh,
Those are some AWEOSME times considering the temps. The fact that you ran neck and neck with a modded CL65 shows us the type of power your car is pushing. Those 911TT boys must of been very confused
Get better witht those 0-60 times and you will be rocking! Once again even with LSD you never broke under the 2 mark (shows us again the power your Kleemann beast is pushing)

Ya after consistently turning those 12.6's and 12.7's with a 2.2 60', I let the car cool down for about an hour and gave it a final run and got the 12.492. By that time the temp dropped to 94... that's why I think my MPH went up a bit too. And obviously a better launch with that 2.062 60' compared to my many 2.1 and 2.2 60's. With all this power I need to condition myself to just slightly press the gas pedal, however, something about that just seems fundamentally wrong at the drag strip LOL
I am definitely down for going out to California to run the car. Let me know.

HAHA... the 911TT guys didn't even look at me when I passed by them in the car. LOL
ya... I almost lost control on one of the runs because my rear-end was fish tailing so much, I had to let off the gas. There is definitely a lot of power. I can't imagine running a 100 shot NOS too (BennyZ you ****) LOL.
The best thing is going up to the line and flooring it for the burnout.... the tires just SPIN and SPIN and SPIN!!!! It's fun!
Should I purchase some drag radials? What kind and size do you recommend?

lol,
I thought about asking you about recording it to memory but I figured I wouldn't mess with it. Maybe next time.
I'm in Los Angeles right now so I will not be able to go 2maro but I'm down for next sunday!

Air is less dense, so you get less BOOM from the combustion or something like that.
Turbo's aren't that affected as MUCH as superchargers because they spool.
Naturally Aspirated, although affected, aren't that suspectible to change because they don't .. well.. use forced induction.
However, most dynoshops will give you SAE corrected numbers, which will be very close to what your car will run at ground level.

Thanks Vadim! I'd like to bring it down to California and run it. What tracks out there have open Test & Tune and when?
Josh:
Sadly, there is only two tracks left in So.Cal.
One is Palmdale, but is at the same altitude as Vegas and California Speedway. I posted it's schedule. As you can see there are only two dates available in the next two months. September 24th or October 29th.
Since it is only one date per months. It gets busy. Very busy. Like one run per 2-3 hours. The problem with that track is that in afternoon you get nasty head on wind, that also throws sand on the track and kills your MPH.

I posted my timeslip on Drag Times.com and if I get over 100 votes before september there is a very good chance they'll feature the car on the homepage. I'd greatly appreciate it if you guys could stop by there and give me a quick vote... thanks
