How Many C55s are there?

How Many C55s are there?
I've had my car for six months (in LA) and I don't think I have seen three C55s (one was in Canada). Does anyone know how many of these get built or sent to the USA?
I did some searching but MB seems to include AMG sales with corresponding chasis. Don't get me wrong, I like having a unique car but I'm curious. Seems like there are not many on the road. joe

I'm in Dallas and I haven't see any yet. I've seen all other AMGs, including a new CLS55 and SL65, but no C55. I own a 2004 C32 and, come to think of it, I've only seen 3 others since I bought mine in November 2003. Cool!

Most of the ppl still think that the AMG version of C-class is C32.. I mean the ppl who's not that into cars
Guess thats why there's not alot of C55s around yet

2001 C320 (purple), 2002 BMW 540i
I see lots of AMG's around... E55's, S55, there used to be an S65 that parked next to me (got replaced with an Arnage), and of course plenty of SL55s. But, I have yet to see ONE C32 or C55. M3's all over the place. Around here I am the big bad-*** C-class with my 320. I almost never even see 320's, it's all 230's. I get all excited when I see another 320 and I have to get in front of him to show him I have a 320 badge too 
(and I like doing purple-kraut flybys on 230's heheheh). bear in mind I've only been here for about 1 year but in that time I've seen a lot of Bentley Continentals, Arnage's, every kind of modern Porsche in the world (aside from C GT's), Phantoms, Lotu's Elises, Elan's, Esprit's, Ferarri's from the 80s to current, Maserati Quattroporte, Spyder, Lambo's everywhere, a DELOREAN even... but not one damned C-AMG!!!
(and I like doing purple-kraut flybys on 230's heheheh). bear in mind I've only been here for about 1 year but in that time I've seen a lot of Bentley Continentals, Arnage's, every kind of modern Porsche in the world (aside from C GT's), Phantoms, Lotu's Elises, Elan's, Esprit's, Ferarri's from the 80s to current, Maserati Quattroporte, Spyder, Lambo's everywhere, a DELOREAN even... but not one damned C-AMG!!!

there may be 20 ( as said by the MB salesman ) in this tiny space Hong Kong but I did not think I met one on the road or parked in the past 11 months ; so I guess there may be 20 and not more than 30. ( we do have many C32, C36 due to some independent dealers did import them some few years back; and most new AMGs I met here were E55 and SL55, even a CL55 )

05 c55
i saw a WHITE c55 the day before i actually took delivery of mine. i know there is someone else on this board in costa mesa with a c55 but i've never seen it. a c32 flew by me on beach blvd. a few weeks ago. the only other C AMG that i've seen is a guy that I work with. he has a c320 with an AMG badge on it. i see ferrari's, bentley's, AMG's, M's, Masserati's, lambo's, etc. on pretty much a daily basis, but rarely do i see c AMG's.
