How much for extended warranty?
I can't speak for anyone else, but when I buy a car from a dealer, everything is negotiable. Rather than being overly concerned with individual pricing (such as the car itself, the full service that I want performed, the extended warranty, the new tires, the complete brake job, etc.), I'm more interested in the bottom line; what's it going to take for me to put that car in my garage? The dealer has a vehicle they would like to sell. They "may" have a vehicle that you'd like to buy. Who has the greater need?
BTW Lisa is in Chico CA I believe.

The info you'll need is VIN, current mileage on the car (I think within 100mi is ok) and date of purchase (within a month). She can either fax you a form, or take the info over the phone.
If anyone wants to go to their local dealer for a warranty, ask about a discount. My local dealer offered a small discount ($100) with very little prodding. But calling Lisa got me more like a $600 discount, with absolutely no effort.
Same here, $1980, 4 year extension. Local dealer wanted around $2450, and had an official MB brochure listing the price as something like $2550, so your dealer was most definitely trying to rip you off. My GF's C240 was $1680 for the same warranty. Makes me think that even though the published price is the same for all C-class models, there must be a secret internal price that the dealer pays to MB, that varies by model. And anything the dealer can get away with charging above that, they get to keep.

BTW I told my dealer locally that I wanted 8 year 100k for $1950 he said ,,, uh OK.
This all happened several years ago. Some things have changed, ie they won't be able to offer 8 year anymore.
For the most part I will be adding the $1950 to the selling price, when I sell. The warranty is transferrable.
