you dont get my sense of humour did you? yes, there is no need to dump the C55 , we can keep it , love it , kleemanize it , and or perhaps like what I just did , bought a US$3300 MB55 number mark to go with it....or carry with us to heaven. There is no alternative now, either you make yourself a better driver than the S500 owners or remind yourself, you are not that fast. The bimmer 420ho M3 is coming along. What are we waiting now? Are we trying insult ourself by getting a RS4 4WD , no I wont, I love RWD and RWD only. There has been no plan and we know nothing about W204 AMG - what is is like ? Do we? Yes, I need to go back to school if I still don't have a clue what my next MB car is going to be?

i know that it is a ' high risk ' to draw attention these days; :p frankly, with all that component crisis being sorted out ; our cars are really flying now and stepping into a great 2nd year of life cycle. what I want to point out is we probably should n't sing as loud about it anymore. looking forward to hearing C55 kill stories with the S500's ; or 'being killed'?

i heard from my dad's client in early August that he got a peak at the S class early at Zung Fu in Hong Hom. He said it was of very high quality and very nice. He quickly told my dad to switch our S500 for the new generation, as he drove an SL55, F360 and had an F430 on order and did need a big sedan, but just wanted to sit in one on trips to Shenzhen(our factories are close, so we go together as he does not have china liscence)..
We are going to change to the new S next year.

In fact the C55 is so bad the resale on it is nothing a base mini will resell for more. What I suggest we all do, to get at least somewhat of our wasted money back on this turd of a car, is say it was stolen drive it out to the desert and have a bonfire with it.
Oh and one last thing anyone thinking of buying a W203 C55 is a

to a bloody pulp. WARNING WARNING stay away from the C55 it is a terrible car that will bring you zero enjoyment.

[Saw a CLS55 AMG this morning parked in my town. Nice, but the back seat sure does look cramped. Not sure I look the squashed window look. I think I'd rather have the E55 with that engine]

haha..actually when we got our china liscence registration, it was a long time ago. i think in early 90's or late 80's so we didn't pay ridiculous price for it and we knew some people in Shenzhen that helped us. :v
Most of the cars that travel from Hong Kong to china are either Mercedes S or BMW 7 series. that's all i see passing through Sha Tau Kok.

The Mercedes press materials from worldcarfans.com claim a 0-100km/h time of 5.4 seconds for the upcoming S500 with the new 5.5L 4-valve V8 (388HP) and 7 speed transmission.
Unless Mercedes wants to deliberately mislead people, the C55 sedan should still be slightly faster to 100km/h than the new S500.
