C32 AMG or CLK500!?

just wondering which car would people choose. A C32 AMg or CLK500 with AMG Kit. Both black/black similar milage and the CLK500 being a little cheaper.

The CLK has a newer body.. I'd buy that given the choice. The CLK500 is no slouch either..

I'm going to have to step in before all the votes go to the CLK500! I would choose the C32 because it's an AMG, it's faster than the CLK, looks sportier, and has 4 doors. I figure the only reasons to get the CLK is that it's a newer body style, higher class interior, a V8(that isn't faster than the C32 V6), and has 2 doors if you really don't need 4!!! Another plus for the C32 is that it will probably hold its value more so than the CLK in the long term!!! Good luck with your choice!!!

How are you getting a clk500 for the same price as a c32 with equal mileage? The most expensive c32 ive seen lately is around 42 thousand. Just curiouse as im looking for a car currently as well.

clk cab or not?! if you want speed then c32, if you want looks and rely heavily on your possessions to get into girls pants then the clk especially if its a cab...no offense or anything...also the clk does have a nicer interior, but only 2 doors, c32 will have 4...think about it...

there is no way a CLK500 with low milage would be the same price of a C32 AMG.

CLK500 is 60+K new and even a C55 is only low 50's.

If youg get the CLK500 with the 7 speed then YES, you can hand with a C32 stock, but in the C32 will eventually pull away. I doubt you can get a 7sp CLK500 for under 45k, since they just came out.

C32 easier & cheaper to mod and lighter.
CLK500 good looks, but ugly Butt and easy to mod but you need $$$$

AMG all the way...

maybe the price in the canadian market is different ... i am not sure ... but i picked up a 2004 c32 with 7500km for $59k CDN couple months ago(the dealer was asking for $63k CDN) ... the dealer has a 2004 clk500 with 7000km and is asking for $60CDN so after neigotiation it will probably be cheaper then the c32 ... my parents is getting a new car and they willing to take my c32 if i want to get the clk500 ... i like my c32 alot but i really like the clk front end and the interior of the clk is much nicer ... tough desicion

As far as speed i think c32(0-60mph 5.0sec) and clk500(0-60mph 5.2sec) are very very similar, c32 being only slightly faster. In terms of looks its obvious the clk looks more sleek and more refined and just plain classier.
If the clk500 is cheaper then thats another plus. I definitely go for the clk500.
I am not crazy about the front end of the c-class, i think the headlights just look awekward. Although the C55 headlights look nice, since its the same as the clk.
So hands down I get the clk!
just make sure the clk has xenon lights because the regular halogen lamp is plain ugly.

I'm sure I'll get flamed for this, but the CLK is really not a very attractive design. It looks sorta like a Civic coupe on steroids to me. Not that the C-Class is any beauty queen. . .

IMO, if you are considering a coupe, try to spring for the CL. Now THAT is a nice-looking coupe.

The CLK is one of the best looking and best built coupes in the world. Also many people forget that it is a pilarless coupe, and when the windows are down its the closest thing to a convertible. I would choose the clk.

well if he had the money of course im sure he take the CL but C & Clk are not in the same league as a CL.

civic w/ steriods? oh come now, u are exaggerating. now thats the first time i heard that one. think ur way off.
The clk looks closer to the CL than a civic.

This is a no brainer, really... CLK500 all the way. A lot of the C32 owners are obviously biased... Post this in the CLK forum and see what happens...

I don't understand this thread one bit... Yes, both cars are great. However, they are two totally different beasts.

Think about this please.
