Can anything else go wrong?

Ok..so most of you read my dilemma with the Kia loaner and the nastry drugs...just when I thought that was all I would need to deal with.. this weekend..I discover a few more things wrong with my car..and guess what..it's been exactly 17 days since I purchaed it...

So last night..we're driving to El Gaucho Grill in Portland for my Birthday dinner and it starts to rain..great! Turn the windshield wippers on..look at them go...turn the fluid on to get the crap off my window..but wait..where's the fluid?!? ohh...there is none! why? Well upon lifting the hood..the damn thing isn't connected to my flippin car!

As we pull into the parking lot "1 malfunction" on my screen..wonderful! I assumed it was the stupid windshield wiper thing..but nope..never assume..one of my license plate lamps are out..darn it!

Seriously..how much crap do I need to go through within the first 2 weeks of owning this vehicle? I am really really REALLY regretting purchasing from Don Rasmussen Mercedes..I'm wishing we stuck to Laguna Nigel...

I don't really think it matters which dealer you would have purchased it from and nonetheless....those are easy fixes. Not making excuses for MB but really they're easy fixes...get the boyfriend to fix 'em!

haha well I have this HUGE phobia of my car breaking down..not to mention the fact that I can't even change a tire, let alone the oil in my own car! Oh, and you're gonna love this..I have no clue how to open the damn hood either. Some guy was looking at my mini before I sold it and he asked to see the hood..and I looked like an idiot..i had NO idea how to open it..haha..

anyway..ya i know it's easy fixes..but i was looking at a C55 that was coming in 3 weeks after I bought the C32..only thing is that I want to new body style..so my sales person told me i'd take less of a loss buying the C32 since I wouldn't have it for long..and he assured me it would be 100%..I guess I can't have my cake and eat it too!!

Just spend some time with the manual...fortunately my C43 has been pretty good thus far. The small problems I have had, thus far...I have been able to fix without any hitches. But at any rate, I have turned wrenches since I was in high school so I can pretty much fix anything.

the manual will be my new "bible"!! One of my clients bought a 1950 something Cooper a while ago and he's been working on it..restoring it and stuff..he updates me with EVERYTHING he does to it..he told me if I bought one too..he'd help me restore it..and pay for everything for me so he could teach me how to "work on a car" I shoulda taken him up on that offer! Then you could hire me as your mechanic (just make sure you pop to hood for me!!)

You're too funny...A 1950's Cooper, Like a 1959 maybe? I had a 1967 Morris Cooper 'S' wish I still had it...it would be worth more that what I purchased it for and a blast to drive with the hydrolastic suspension to boot. <sigh>

Lucky you on the the resale...sounds like you purchased a non-S model though...

My lil' Cooper had about 110BHP weighing about 1700LBS +/- and was like driving a go kart, It would outhandle my 911 any day of the week.

yep..non-s..one fast one slow, remember? haha..ya i looooove how the mini handled..i've never ridden in a go-kart before, but i'd imagine it was very similar..i've been scared to take the turns with the C32 although so far it's handled really well..the one car that i truly miss is the e46 M3...that thing was a beast..

Agree with you there, the E46 M3 is fast and extremely nice.....Bimmers just don't hold up over the miles though.

Laguna Nigel, as in the one in Cali? That is where I bought my C32 a few months ago....

Kim, I am flying up to Seattle this coming Fri (the 4th) afternoon and will be there until Sunday afternoon. The reason I am going is my brother and I are going there just to drink coffee at the original Starbucks (yes we LOVE our coffee, my license plate even reads "COFEHLC"!)... What else should we do while we are there, neither of us have ever been to Seattle, any cool places to hang out at (Clubs etc for the evening and what during the day.....) ? Thanks for any info you can let me in on...

Sorry to hear about your problems with the C32, they should be taken care of with no problems. This my sound like a dumb question, but since you have such a fast car (E55) why did you buy a C32? They are so "alike" why not go for something else?
