anybody get their money back from harris?
Dear all,
I am no longer with Harton Motorwerks. The business has been sold to a former business associate. All outstanding orders will be handled by the new
manager Tony. He will be contacting all customers with either undelivered parts or pending refunds.
I am happy to know you all in the past few years but I am completely exhausted with all the things happened to me in 2005.
Once again, I want to apologize for all the hick-ups over the past few months. The new ownership will honor all outstanding orders and get them resolved ASAP.
Regards,
Harris
I hope the new owner's ready to refund me my money cause 'Tony' will be getting an email about the $4300 Harris owes me when they open for business(whenever that is).

Having owned two businesses before, I can not see how anyone would let it get to the point were it was. At least anyone with any morals! I had to sell one of my businesses, but never did I screw a customer out of $$$. Just not right.
I had a not too dissimilar scenario occur about 10 years ago with a vendor who was known as ELP Motorsport based in SoCal. I originally spotted them through an ad in European Car mag. I had over a year or so of pretty good dealing on some hard to source BMW 3 series performance parts(many custom), even bought wheels. However, in the final transaction with them I had ordered a bodykit through them made by another firm in CA. However, my 3 series was stolen shortly after the order was placed. I had already paid for the kit and there should have been no issue with refund or credit. That's when the comms stopped completely and I never did end up getting my 1800 odd refunded. That after spending probably $10k+ with them and speaking with the proprieter personally dozens of times on the phone over the period.
Sometimes you never know with these things, especially when their's distance involved.

Maybe this is just a big coincidence, but the gentleman's email reply name was "Harris/JuJu". He has been very courteous and prompt in responding to my emails and concerns.
He even indicated that he would reimburse me my shipping charges once I get a refund from FedEx.
Could he be the Harris everyone is so upset with? I can’t imagine, because my experience with him has been very positive so far.

Yes, you are dealing with him if his name appear Harris Hsu or Juju Hsu.
Although many ppl seems got screwed up here, my experience with Harris still positive. Maybe I am just the lucky one..... who placed the orders last August and October (while Harris ran into troubles) and still received my pkg without much hassle.
