So, I've almost made up my mind about how I want my C55 to look like. However, I've actually never seen it! Here is what I have selected:
Also, my choice has been heavily influenced by my goal to combine my desire for a sports car and my requirement for a luxury feel. I've tried the Infinit M45 Sport and the Audi A6 4.2, while both have nice interiors, they also lacked oomph. Any other cars I should consider before making the plunge on the C55?
- Capri Blue
- Ash leather
- Poplar Brown Wood

I've never seen a Capri Blue C55 either. I think its a nice and rare color. I was considering Capri Blue before I decided on the Iridium Silver. I really wished MB offered the C55 in a color like flint grey or silver gray like the M3.
Have you seen the Birdseye Maple wood trim in person? It's very classy looking and better than the brown wood trim. That's just my opinion though.
Capri Blue with ash leather would be a good choice. I hope everything works out for you.

Good point, I haven't actually seen the Maple wood trim. For some reason, I thought the lighter Brown wood would fit better with the Ash leather. I'll check out a C-class with the maple first. Thanks.

C55 AMG, 135i, 911 GT3, GLE43 AMG
Other cars to consider:
Audi S4 (or upcoming RS4 if you need >400HP), and the BMW M3.
The C55, S4, and M3 are natural competitors against each other. Each have their relative strengths and weaknesses.
The most comfortable is the C55, with likely the fastest straightline acceleration (slight edge over M3). The best handling car is the M3 (exploitable only if you track your car). The S4 has the benefit of quattro AWD and is somewhere in between the C55 and M3 in terms of handling, but it is the slowest of the 3.
All offer similar levels of "luxury" and features, and all are about the same size. All are within the same price range.

I bought my Mars Red '06 C55 AMG a little over a month ago. I just went over 1,000 miles and I love this car. I love the accelleration and the tourqe of the v8 engine and the fit and finish is top notch.
